Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 11, 2010 20:40:21 GMT 1, does anyone know whats happening about the COA's? do we have to buy one this time? I don't see how they can send them out as they only had our name and postcode but no house number. its another letdown from POW if we have to pay for one after spending £450 on a print. I think i'm finished with POW to be honest. 90% of the stuff they sell is s**t and they really don't give a crap about their customers anymore.
Disagree, I think they are genuinely not happy about what happened

Simon told me when I was paying that one had to register online for the COA at some stage, I assume this is why they asked for, and made a note of, your name at time of buying the print at the till... no idea when the registration process would kick off - but seeing as I am keeping my print for ever I'm not in any hurry

Interesting...maybe they have some kind of plan to weed out flippers?
They know that the majority of these will be flipped so what will they do when a print has been sold on two or three times before registration even begins (if you believe the ebay sales so far) and the details are lost?
Maybe they're just hoping to cash in more.........they're gunna charge that £50 plus vat as usual again aren't they?
money for old rope.

ok i might be being a little harsh but they do have a year to plan this out. Its not like they have to do it often or anything. I do think we forced the sale of the prints earlier than they wanted but they should have all this planned out and should be more prepared. Its like it was all just thought on the spot with no real thought or planning behind it.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by downlowmatt on Dec 11, 2010 21:01:26 GMT 1, agreed. I think pow were as pissed off as any of us, Simon this morning was truly sorry.
ok I have been reading this thread "lurking" since 6:30am when I woke up, saw the email and got dressed in a hurry to go down in the ridiculous idea I might still be able to get one.
I phoned my mate Si who happened to be in the queue, he told me the mental stories about the night and that he had his ticket - managed to form a "ring of steel" with others and prevent too much pushing in Needless to say he is super stoked with his khaki print.
Truly horrendous stories of the worst aspects of London life. I'm out in the suburbs with a little baby girl and broken shouder (snowboarding) so there's no way I could have got one - unless the lottery works out.
The only thing I've got worth saying here is: I know Simon socially (he goes to the same gym as me) and he is honestly a really nice chap. He's a family man, quiet and considered. There is honestly no way he or any of the POW staff would have wanted this to have happened.
I appreciate everyone's views and agree to an extent with most if not all, but I thought I really ought to say I am 100% sure the POW staff are as disappointed as we are.

No COA's with the prints is the best thing POW could have done. Genius. If you bought one and queued then the only person who is that interest in a COA is one who wants to sell. If you are a keeper then COA means bugger all. I certainly will not be paying for one for any of my collection.
