What with Banksy moving, OG's being ripped off walls and sold in auction and no more prints (thank god the gorilla never came out) for a long time, i guess people get a bit antsy to buy something. That and the continuing interest in the 'brand' and an influx of new buyers.
Anyone know any rich Russians?

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Sundowner on Jul 31, 2013 15:11:16 GMT 1, Low edition (by colourway), strong image, strong auction results and rumoured last Banksy print make this one hot property at the moment.
I think generally most Banksy prints have only risen 15 - 20% in the last year (the other obvious exception being Nola) but some of the CYWs have nearly tripled in value. I remember ruggs offering his lemon for sale for about £3.5k and I'm sure that was only 12 - 18 months ago.....

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Deleted on Jul 31, 2013 17:14:57 GMT 1, Fuck my old boots, £7K plus? There might be more of them but it's the story behind them imo. Some people deserved these cos they got royally shafted in that queue so I hear, other people apparently pitched up and didn't like the look of it and went home and grumbled the next day and scored one!!
Either way, the staff xmas party that I attended wasn't worth £7K!
Classic print and if the price is around £7K then it'll fly......

Offering cash in hand does not make any difference to the price (i.e a discount) This is not 1985 and im not a gallery it is a private sale. So all methods of payment are the same to me.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Happy Shopper on Aug 2, 2013 14:52:49 GMT 1, Has anyone paid this kind of money for one of these?... not "I heard someone did" or "a gallery sold one for...". I mean has anyone actually paid this kind of money for real? (Except einstein who seems to have endless cash to offer for these... no offence intended!)
I have to say I'm dubious of all these prices at the moment and people offering huge amounts. Seems to be a strange, recent thing. Expressobeans seems to have a few sales at $11K, but most seem to be around $6K and have come down from $7/8K in 2010. (Just from having a quick look, not scientific!)
I haven't tried to buy one, so I guess that's the real test... but all seems very inflated... more than usual!!

I agree, it all looks a bit suspect, but if you pay what you are happy to pay it's nothing to do with the rest of us.

In all honesty I paid more than 7 each for most of mine and that was about a year ago now. I felt at the time the prices were very fair for nice colors. Not trying to talk up prices as I've never sold a print but merely answer the question.
