Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Dice on Jan 9, 2018 13:48:13 GMT 1, Seeing all these reminds me that QJG is simply the best colourway. Simple and refined. And a nice story to it. The bright colours just scream look at me I’m a banksy and the darker ones just don’t do it for me.

The bright colours just scream look at me I’m a banksy and the darker ones just don’t do it for me. i love both greys.. i go back and forth on which i prefer, for a while there it was qj and i was trying to swap mine out, but now i like the darker grey. and i had a similar thought about some of the brighter colorways but look at graham's yellow- the framing, the setting, the lighting- it looks fantastic where and how it is.. i think how its framed dictates how the brighter ones come across...

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Graham H on Jan 9, 2018 14:11:55 GMT 1, Many thanks for the comments Dexter Bulldog appreciate your positive thoughts
As with all art, its personal choice, however, I have owned a couple of the different colourways, but just kept coming back to the Yellow being the one that really made me smile. The result being I let the others go and got the yellow.. and having the yellow for a while, I havent yet seen another colour that would make me want to sell / swap it for.. and that speaks volumes to me.. about which I like the best.
Saying that, I can also fully undertstand why this and the other ' brighter ' colours are far to loud and screamy for some.
Its also interesting that this thread clearly shows what different framing can do for the exact same image, having on black or white mat seems to make such a massive difference to the ' feel' of the image. The ones on white mat definately seem more toned down
Likewise location and surrounding artworks / furniture. Its also great to see when more than one are displayed together, and how they react ( sounds a bit arty farty that.. sorry )
I hope we can get lots more different ones on the thread just to further highlight how these can change with framing / location / setting.
Cheers everyone for posting so far

My preference leans towards vibrant, primary colors to accentuate the Haring lineage with that composition. Or perhaps I spent too much time playing that electronic Simon game as a child?

Yes the real winner, (and who I copied/was inspired by to group them all together). Lee 2 questions-1) do you still have the og pic of them 2x2? That truly looked like simon 2) is that a guest bedroom? I’d hate (as in jealous) to see what you have in your master bedroom.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by lee3 on Jan 11, 2018 1:58:43 GMT 1, Dexter, long time and hope you're well. Yes, guest bedroom. I've moved twice within the past year and have finally grown up/settled down into a proper home. The photo you're referring to was 3 houses ago and a couple of paint jobs at that in that it was featured on an extravagant puke yellow walls that won me no favors. Reminds me of looking back at old '70s photos with linoleum kitchens, blinding wallpaper and wrapped/plastic whatever you call those protected couches of the time. Genesee cream ale cans, lots of facial hair and smiles abound. That photo is great for a laugh and of its time but borderline not of this earth any longer.

Hope that you’re settled and no longer moving for a long time. I’ll be honest, I never noticed anything other than the Banksy. Gotta say that’s a great remedy for poor decor.

Rules of the bedroom: - lights off - no kinky stuff Any damage is going to be costly!!
