Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by tab1 on Sept 19, 2019 1:09:51 GMT 1, Both Love Hurts and Dumbo have overtaken a normal signed Girl With Balloon now. Tanya Baxter had a Love Hurts for £190k a few weeks ago. Had one or sold one for that amount? It is a cool print but not nearly as cool as the dumbo imo. Edit; Is it okay to use the word 'cool'? It seems i can't keep up with latest fashion, slang, prices and artists lately. If your born pre 70s it's cool 😆

I love this color. Talk about a grail. *its not all about the money* I would think the order would be: Girl With Balloon AP Girl With Balloon Kate Moss AP Choose Your Weapon AP (hand finished red dot ones) Nola AP LIITA Nola Not sure where regular Kate fits in there. Gold and Silver Choose Your Weapon too.
Guy Hepworth are currently quoting $250k for a Kate AP which would put it above the regular GWB.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Deleted on Sept 27, 2019 10:04:00 GMT 1, Lots of places have gone insane with what they think Banksy prints are now worth. I sold mine in the Christie's sale and looking at maybe spending part of the money on an unsigned print. Enquiries to galleries brought some mad replies. Uniformly above the prices achieved at auction and one place even asking £2k for a Soup Cans poster.

Has anyone ever actually bought anything from him? His prices are at best laughable. Also (and perhaps more interesting) has anyone sold anything to him?

I'm starting to think they don't hold much inventory but go looking for prints once they have an inquiry.

I'm starting to think they don't hold much inventory but go looking for prints once they have an inquiry. Exactly. I have offered them many prints for sale. They always say they’re actively looking but when it comes time to buy, it’s; “oh sorry to have missed your email. We have just bought a large volume of prints by x and are not seeking to acquire more material at this time. We do have clients though and are happy to consign your work for sale”. Like, every.single.time. How miraculous is it that they have spent all their cash 24 hours or less, prior to their moving forward with the buy? Oh, and they also offer work at exorbitant prices. I keep wondering how they stay in business. They’ve even offered me work people were selling here on the UAA At the owner’ price x2.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by linter on Mar 1, 2020 17:01:32 GMT 1,
Hi, all -- I have a few people interested in this from a thread elsewhere, so they get first crack with offers, etc., but I thought I'd put it here as well. I made a mistake elsewhere, too, in saying that it's a turquoise Choose Your Weapon. It's actually sky blue. The nice folks over on the banksy valuation thread think the print is worth $65k to $70k US, so that's about what I'm looking for, give or take, more or less, or obo. I have Pest Control coa, and the original mailing tube, and the PC tissue the print came wrapped in. I had the print framed for a while but had it removed when I moved to a new state. Since then, it has been stored flat. It's in 100% A1 perfect condition.
One thing: I only want to sell this to someone who can inspect it and make sure it's exactly what I say it is. I live in San Diego, CA. As well, I don't want to send it anywhere, because lord knows what can happen when it's out of my sight. Ugh. I shudder to think about it. Anyway, here are a few photos. If you want more or different please let me know. Oh -- and I'm not interested in trades, unless someone wants to throw in dran's learning to fly or an unsigned banksy b&w trolleys as a sweetener. ha! Thanks for having a look at this!

I won’t comment on the price - this would make a lovely pickup for someone

From memory Sky Blue was part of the lottery along the Green, Red (editions 25) and Grey edition 100.

Looks like this is simply from the standard edition of 25. There should be 2 APs in this colour (2 APs in each colorway iirc)
There is a Dark Blue AP outside the main edition (10 APs split between Dark Blue and Dark Purple)

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by linter on Mar 1, 2020 20:34:16 GMT 1, Agreed. But I am pretty old and very infirm and most trips anywhere are out of the question, sadly enough, hence another reason for why I'd like to sell to someone in person here in San Diego. I do have 3 good offers on the table right now, so hopefully one of them will be able to come through the way I want. And to the rest of ya'll -- thanks for your thoughts!

You’ll get a lot more for that in the UK or even better speak with a decent auction house ( Sorherbys)

Sure I know of a few serious collectors on here but I think something like this that doesn’t come up too often would benefit from the competitive traction of an auction.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by linter on Mar 2, 2020 2:30:54 GMT 1, all i can say at this point is that i have multiple offers at 65k US. all i need is for one of them to be legit -- and for that person to come see it in san diego and be happy -- for it to be win/win. could i get 70k+ for it, as has been suggested? maybe. but money isn't everything (but pls don't tell my girlfriend that).
