It came as part of a two print set, sold the other already. I got it hand signed by Jamie when I picked it up. Probably never going to get framed so open to selling. Anyway, I popped in yesterday and got a chance to have a sneak peek at some of the works that will be on show, there are some incredible and iconic works. The 'Wall' will be on show and it evokes so many different memories from the 70's and early 80's. Fooking Brilliant! I wasnt allowed to take any snaps so you'll have to go and see it for yourself.....there may be a publication of some sort coming soon where this sort of stuff will be more readily available and you won't have to wade through the investor chatter...
In the meantime you will have to go yourselves and have a look.....
The Details : 
Iconic British artist, anarchist, and activist, Jamie Reid returns to Croydon for a major new show โShort Sharp Shockโ with RISEgallery.
Born and raised in Croydon, Reid condemned the regeneration projects sweeping the borough in the 1960s, concerned about the implications of the huge state-led reformations on local communities. Sounds familiar!
At this time Reid met Malcolm McLaren, future manager of the Sex Pistols, while attending the Croydon School of Art. They were both very politically active involving themselves in the student movements of โ68. Reid was also responsible for the Suburban Press โ a periodical challenging the irreversible changes to Croydonโs skyline, as we recognise it today. It was through these early illustrations that Reid developed his anti-establishment style of situationalist sloganeering and torn up images.
40 years on and the artistโs punk legacy and mass appeal have not simmered. Reid is not only one of the most important artists of his era, but to date, with a reach extending to the biggest contemporary artists of the 21st Century. Having recently collaborated with Shepard Fairey, the Obey artist writes:
โJamie has been one of my biggest creative inspirations both visually and philosophically, because his work is bold, provocative, irreverent, and politicalโฆ Iโm honored that I have been able to work with Jamieโ
Most recently Peter De Potter, the artist behind Kanyeโs latest album cover, said of Reidโs art as โthe work of a man speaking his mindโ. Other artists to draw inspiration from Reid include The Chemical Brothers, The Orb and The Prodigy.
โShort Sharp Shockโ will feature some never before seen works, pieces from the artistโs personal archival collection, original illustrations from the Suburban Press and Reidโs biggest work to date, a mammoth 40 x 9ft mural never before exhibited in Croydon. This is an exhibition not to be missed by all lovers of Reidโs unique voice, artistry and graphical style.

Some big murals due to be revealed and some major artists will be painting in the area - announcements to come when everything is confirmed.
I believe Reid approached RISE based on his links to the area and the positive impact that Rise are having. It's a 20 minute train journey from London Bridge (if you choose the right train) and the area is improving all the time - Its even going to have a BoxPark soon
There are even some 'gentrification' issues being raised now so the changes are really beginning to affect the area.

For me personally this has been my favourite show we've put on here. For me Jamie is such an icon, really inspiring, such an important artist. I think he paved the way for a lot of the artists and designers we seen now.
We only put it on for two weeks would have loved to had it longer and sadly tomorrow is the last day. not very often I say this but am really sad to see this show leave us it feels at home in the gallery.
Appreciate Croydon is a bit of a trek for some people to come down to. We had the gallery 3D mapped so if anyone fancies looking around the gallery, seeing the exhibition and works from his archive who couldn't make it. Click on the link below and have a look around the show.
