As you know - I live in Hastings and as part of an art weekend here, Harry Adams had his house open to see his work as he has moved down here. I went down and found out that Harry Adams is actually 2 people and that the one half that has moved down here is Steve who is the chap that is/was always at the front desk at Aquarium who you must know. Funny old world mate.
That's interesting. Steve's actual house was it?
Yeah I knew about harry adams, he's also behind stot21st and not banksy.
Dunno what the current fascination with Hastings is within the art world tho ;D

I knew about Stot21stCplanB and have bought a couple of the not Banksy pieces but didn't realise that it was 2 people.
Nice house in the old town. Steve and his wife said that they came down here, fell in love with it and realised that for their money they could get a large house on the coast.
Strangely he didn't know about Eelus, Eine, Word to mother or I-lib living here nor about the POW/Stella Dore connection. Just a coincidence I guess.
Anyway - have a bump. Everyone should have a Jamie Reid in their house.

Kinda like a laid-back, old-skool like it or don't like it kind of attitude. Kinda like an old art teacher at school! Wish he was my art teacher at school. That would have been cool.

The show is curated by Gaye Advert (from the Adverts - see below) and opens on the 13th August.
The musicians involved include Adam Ant, Poly Styrene (X Ray Spex), Steve Ignorant (Crass), Charlie Harper (UK Subs), Youth (Killing Joke), Phil Barker (The Buzzcocks), Penny Rimbaud (Crass) and Gaye herself.
The artists include Jamie Reid, Gee Vaucher (Crass), Shepard Fairey (a huge punk fan - some rare pieces by him), Guy Denning (couldn't keep him out!!) and Dale Grimshaw (was a true punk in younger days - spikes and all.
The list for the Private View is closed now, but the show runs from 13th August - 21st August. Several of the musicians will be sitting in during the run of the show.
