Instead of putting the LP covers up on our walls for a "pay no more than ยฃ3.99 album" and swigging from cider bottles in brown paper bags, now we're spending every spare penny on expensive prints instead !
Strange how your hardcore perspective on life changes over the years ............. it's still anti-dis-establishment-tarianism though innit

What they stood for in the 70s and 80s is still valid and having met them during the show, Penny, Gee and Steve are still as passionate as ever about their causes. Penny's piece, which we have in the window, is very controversial and we had a lot of complaints about it and demands to have it removed. It's not going anywhere though.
On the subject of prints, we're hoping to do some affordable prints of one of Poly's pieces and Adam's. Gee has some more one-off's of her 'Oh America' print for us.

I'm sure the attitude of those who were a part of what happened in the mid to late 70's ... were a part of a spectacle not feasible (in the uk) in these times, of faecebook & mediacracy.
Missed my chance to meet poly - uch well I still have vivid images of GFA and ID in my head.. from early on.

Just had myself a Crass fest - listening to songs not heard in ages, shaved women, big a little a, gasman cometh, ....etc
Only this time, its with a bottle of red wine, not a bottle of cider/beer! Sign of the/my times.

Dee Generate from Eater (started with them at age 14) is a social work manager now. Hardcore child protection stuff.
Gaye Advert also worked for social services for many years.

Yep thats the one - got it slightly wrong - its statue of liberty, not Raegan, but it was about 25 yrs ago! Dont know what happened to my copy of that - long gone now.
