Showing in the Lord Napier Pub for one week end only Mantis will
transform this infamous building in Hackney Wick into a must see show
with painting, sculpture, work on paper and a working fruit machine
modified by the artist. This will be no white wall show!
Thursday 18th November: RSVP preview 4-6PM, public view from 6-9PM
Friday 19th November: Viewing on appointment only.
Saturday 20th November: Open all day to the public from 11AM- 8:30PM,
with a closing party on Saturday night with live music from 8-10:30PM with
two of the artists favorite local bands.

Definitely worth popping along if you're free today or tomorrow and based in or near London town. I took a few photos but they're pretty s**t (iphone) so happy to let others post theirs...

I must admit that I have rather lost track of Mantis' work.
He did that great mural - was it called "all fall down"? - it was just round the corner from where I used to live in Brixton. The print version was cool too. He then did a couple of pieces that I wasn't too keen on, and he then fell off my radar.
But these pieces look super Mikey - thanks for posting.

I can't really tell from the photo, see less figures running on the stairs for example, but what did Mantis do to this original work to express his idea? |
