Iron and Wine, by murdock on Feb 9, 2011 11:59:59 GMT 1, I've seen Iron and Wine perform yesterday at the Bergain.
"Blown away" really only starts to describe the experience ( and I've seen A LOT of shows in my life).
Do yourselves a favor and catch a show on the rest of the tour:

Iron and Wine, by murdock on Feb 9, 2011 15:06:59 GMT 1, I saw them two times before, once with Calexico what was in itself a treat, and two years ago in a church. While I like the new album "ok", I was not sure how this would translate to the stage, but boy... it translated!
The had two percussionists, a sax/clarinette/flute player, keyboards, bass, two guitars and of course the lovely female backing vocals. Most of the songs came in a "rearranged" live version and some, like Shepard's Dog, were going into a 10 min. jam worthy of Dave Matthews fame (but with a more country/folk feel to them).
In the end Sam gave an acappela encore of a song, that sent shivers through the crowd.
What a magical evening! (even without Trapeze Swinger )
