Call me stupid โย and many do โย but one is a reference to Hurricane Katrina and the shortcomings of the government in the aftermath, the original appearing on the side a destroyed house in the area. And the other is a reference to what exactly?
And when it comes to the 'mainstream', I would strongly argue that Mr B's latest effort has a far wider appeal. I could be wrong... (I am, often).
FYI, I do have a Nola โย but my comments are not at all influenced by that.

there was a story in the media, it was on The Today Programme but not too sure which papers, if any, picked it up but it was an in depth piece about gangs of youths and even organised criminals increasingly using dangerous dogs as a form of intimidation and worryingly there was a growing trend that they are using them as weapons.
CYW appeared on the street about 2 weeks after this story and IMHO is a direct response, a fantastic one at that - rather than taking the story literally he has inserted a Haring dog that on the face of it seems to be a comedic move but if you really think about it the message could easily be that being creative and individual is a far more powerful tool than mob violence, gang culture and intimidation - 'the paintbrush is mightier than the sword' if you like.
i think it is a very positive message and almost a call to young men in particular to question themselves and their lifestyle and to think about how much better their life might be if they expressed themselves in a positive way rather than attempting to please their peers.

It's not hard to work that out Sundowner - I know quite a few people who queue'd with a girlfriend, a mate (who pretended to know who Bansky was!) or extended family etc...
