Banksy • Napalm Print, by minibear on Mar 22, 2015 17:05:09 GMT 1, ... so you were selling a print that you didn't even own ... that's OK then. I HAVE NOT THE TIME NOR PATIENCE FOR THIS AGAIN. I WAS OFFERED THE WORK, MADE THE THREAD, DEAL FELL THROUGH, REMOVED THE PICTURES. 90% OF WHAT I BUY ARE TO FLIP. PROCEED WITH CAUTION WITH REGARDS THE EBAY AD. Just quoting this for future posterity. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time and patience 'for this' again in the future once no-one entertains your FS/FT/LTB requests in the future.
I hope you had the decency to advise the sellers that you're marketing their goods for sale on public forums to facilitate 'your purchase'. Frankly your care and attention with sensitive information is lacking.

Banksy • Napalm Print, by alittle on Mar 22, 2015 17:11:59 GMT 1, I find it mental that anyone would drop that sort of money on ebay Why? you are basically 100% covered through PayPal buyer protection. PayPal actually protects a buyer almost more than the seller i have found with the research I have done with PayPal. I have dug into this and have asked a lot of questions of PayPal over the past couple months so I feel confident in stating that. Agreed, and if you pay by credit card via Paypal, your risk is zero.

Just that I would only spend that much if I was seeing the goods first and probably meeting the person face to face.

Banksy • Napalm Print, by wishingiwaslucky on Mar 22, 2015 22:43:20 GMT 1, I went to the link, and asked the guy some basic questions, asked if he could give me the print number and if he was the current owner so that I could check it out with PC. His English isn't great, but refused and accused me of not being a serious buyer. I stated that I just wanted to check with PC to which he turned funny, saying the COA WAS IN HIS NAME, BUT HEONLY OWNED IT 2 weeks. Stop wasting his time. I asked once more, just the print number and he just sent back 'edition of 150'
Nothing since. Been bid up by his 0 score accounts too by the look of it. Suspicious

Suspicious To be fair, most forum members use subpar English. I want to vomit at the number of times I've seen "would of" typed instead of "would have." That said, it is a blatant red flag to back out of any transaction if the seller claims to be from an English speaking country and makes mistakes in spelling and punctuation. I've noticed from the thread involving Metropolis Art that Ashbeck claims his name is "Mark" and that he's from the UK. For his sake, I certainly hope that Mark is short for a longer Greek forename because he certainly isn't a native speaker.

Banksy • Napalm Print, by Poster Bob on Mar 23, 2015 0:11:53 GMT 1, I am UK based and I intend to pay with Paypal via two separate payments. I want the print to be in at least excellent condition. That is, dropping it off at Bignell's studio for a bit of restoration is not an issue. Trades are a possibility; I have a number of unsigned Banksy prints, all in excellent condition, or better, with the COA registered in my name: Flag, Bomb Love, Welcome to Hell, Love Rat, and Pulp Fiction. If you're not interested in a trade PM me with your asking price.
Thank you
EDIT: Signed means signed. I am not interested in unsigned prints. I am not interested in your auction. I am not interested in your print if it is not one of three named in the title. I am looking to pay £7,500 or less. I am ready to pay in full now; someone messaged me earlier having misunderstood two separate payments as a payment plan of sorts.

Description: Framed professionally at a cost of £250 with a really nice frame, museum glass, with acid free matting and looks gorgeous in person. Item can be shipped with the frame or be removed and put in a tube, with a box around it to give it extra protection and I will leave that up to the buyer's request. I will ship with priority mail and insurance/tracking for the amount of the sale. Thanks for looking

Banksy • Napalm Print, by gorkie on Mar 23, 2015 1:29:25 GMT 1, You're not covered for any amount in excess of £5k which means you can't pay for any signed Banksy. Why? you are basically 100% covered through PayPal buyer protection. PayPal actually protects a buyer almost more than the seller i have found with the research I have done with PayPal. I have dug into this and have asked a lot of questions of PayPal over the past couple months so I feel confident in stating that. This is actually not true. As long as the transaction is between 2 registered PayPal accounts and as long as the transaction is for GOODS and as long as the payment is made all in one transaction and not like a deposit and then the rest is paid at a later date there is no limit to the value of PayPal protection. I just called and verified this because you had me curious.

I just got off the phone with eBay. They confirmed the same thing. No limit to buyer protection. They told me "For example you could buy a $50,000 item and you would still be protected".
So I now have PayPal and eBay telling me the same thing. No limit.
Maybe be you want to call PayPal and ask again?

from there terms and conditions here
www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/popup/UAeBay-outside
Items purchased off eBay:
"If PayPal finds in your favor on your claim, PayPal will reimburse you for the full purchase price of the item and original shipping costs – with no cap on coverage"
No mention of limits regarding ebay purchases, but if theres no limit on off ebay purchases there wouldn't be on ebay. But i guess there wouldn't be any as they own that.
