Banksy would have absolutely no reason what so ever to diss Haring. Banksy is the Keith Haring of our time and just like the crack is wack wall is protected by the parks and recreations department in NYC - Banksy's work is also sometimes protected.
(Just posted this on another thread, but thought it suits the discussion here too.)
I would suggest that, we should consider both his CYW piece (with Keith Haring dog) and the Jeff Koon dog pieces together. Then we would see that, the Haring dog is allowed to bark freely, while the Koon dog has a mouth guard on it.
It suggests to me it is about celebrating street art (and Haring would be one of the best examples), and mocking the contemporary art world. Anti-establishment and all that.
I would say it is a tribute to Haring. Would you and perhaps LA2 agree?

Sounds like it was a bit rough at times but LA2 really did an excellent job. I'm well chuffed and more than happy. Will post pics when it arrives. Gonna add some colour to the walls that's for sure!!

This is a piece that LA2 did for a forum member - he used a lot of different materials to create his classic style - spray paint, acrylic paint, sharpee marker, metalic silver marker, acrylic paint pen.

I have not shared with him any of the negative shenanigans that have transpired behind the scenes. Overall this has been a very positive experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Some of the pieces that he did for our infoites will hopefully change some of the skeptics into believers. He rocked them!

I will be posting photo's of several pieces from the original 25 on Monday that have been completed but are now available for sale due to circumstances we are all too familiar with when doing transactions with certain forum members. Overall the experience was absolutely great for me and LA2. Thank you very much for all your support.

Can see the words 'LA ROCK' in there numerous times, first time I've looked at one of these pieces properly, Does a lot of his work have hidden words in them??
