It's a huge wall and I managed to paint all this in 4 1/2 hours yesterday which is quite insanely quick, even for me! But it has it's drawbacks and that's lack of detail and refinement and the all important finishing touches. I think it's important for artists to be self critical and always strive to make their last piece their best yet, it's how i work, and based on this i am not happy at all with this!!  ( Pictures also taken at night so colours don't stand out at all, i'll be aiming to finish this on saturday all things permitting, so will get better pictures then.

The image i have in mind when i paint, is 100% how it needs to look, and if i don't achieve that, then it's just not finished or correct. This is perhaps 35% off the mark for me, and needs the little details and touches to make it feel alive and truly sing as a piece of art. This is what i do for a living and it has to be 100% right every time, no compromise! Not point going to all the effort, time and personal expense if i don't do it properly!

I will paint 52 pieces in total and at the end of the year will collate them all together for a gallery show, where all will be for sale and all profits will go to charity! The paintings will track my running through different locations, times of day and countries, and will create an interesting visual timeline through the seasons
Here's my first two, even though we're only one sunday into 2014, i have created two as i felt so creative!
This year i will be running in 12 marathons or ultra marathons from Jan 2015 to Jan 2016 where my final event will be a 50 mile Ultra Marathon. My first is Tokyo marathon in February, so excited to be going back to my favourite city in the world!
I will running all of these for charity, details of which I will be detailing soon, alongside ways you can sponsor me and help out, hopefully the culmination of all this running and painting will allow me to raise an enormous amount for charity!
