Dan Kitchener's pieces were really nice - especially the smaller piece in the first picture. The varied range of work and different mediums and styles from the assembled artists made for a really interesting show and brought together a real span of different types and styles of art allowing you to appreciate artists you may not have given too much attention to in the past
It is a great setting for a gallery as well, being a nice large space with some additional partitioned walls and other nooks and crannies to create small intimate areas and little alcoves to find more work tucked away. with a large basement as well, they really managed to pack in an enormous amount of work without it looking over-crowded or the different styles coming in to conflict
Definitely worth a look. Obligatory pictures.....

Dan Kitchener ๐บ๐ธ Street Artist โข Art Prints For Sale, by Dan Kitchener on Aug 13, 2015 15:16:07 GMT 1, After a very successful morning painting in the studio, the heavens decided to open, thunder rumbling ominously and lighting streaking across the sky...the light outside dropped, and my studio filled with darkness...my eyes turned to this small oil painting i have been working on, that i'd put aside, continuing my 'Oblivion' series of abstract works, it felt fitting to finish this painting whilst the epic storm raged and tore the skies outside.
Something truly beautiful about these abstract works, hard to define why i like them so much, but the epic, Biblical nature of them, the fire and brimstone and the energy and intensity all excite me. Fractured earth, great chunks of land engulfed in flames and molten rock, sparks and fire shooting outwards, the heat and blast waves as the earth explodes....this piece is entitled 'The edge of the crater' - oil on canvas / 24 x 18 inches - currently > AVAILABLE <

Always like trying new things and love seeing canvas paintings and new ideas translate to large scale all pieces, for me this works, although i could refine and tighten this endlessly!

I am sure many forum members are aware that I am currently in the midst of my year long marathon running challenge for charity. I am running one marathon per month, every month this year and even some ultra marathons thrown in to keep me on my toes!
So far I have completed 7 marathons, one of them being a 50km Ultra marathon on August 9th in Salisbury, and i am doing this to raise money for OVAID - Orangutan Veterinary Aid. They are Nigel and Sara Hicks, who volunteer huge chunks of their year to spend time in the jungles of Malaysia and Indonesia and works hands on helping the poor orangutans that are rescued by International Animal rescue, due to extensive deforestation. They also rescue baby orangutans that are sold to the pet trade, many of them permanently traumatised by these experiences.
So, the work they do is tangible, hands on and very real, the money i am raising does not get swallowed up by some huge corporate machine, it will go directly to them and the animals they help and will make a HUGE difference!
So we have released this charity print of an original canvas painting of baby 'Udin' who has recently made a lot of world wide media attention

They are 2.7m x 1m and 2m x 1m, both with rainy, night city themes. Both are acrylic, spray painting and paint marker on deep edged hand made canvases!
Very happy with these and so are the new owners who commissioned me to paint these for their new home.
( sorry for me being in each pic, these were the only shots i took! )
