'Future Samurai'

....there's no easy way to break the news...he died a few years back :-(

So I have just returned from an amazing trip to Hong Kong, where I managed to paint two walls, and also ran the Hong Kong Marathon 2016 for my 12 marathons in 12 months challenge for OVAID charity, this being marathon number 10!

I like to quite often speed paint street pieces to keep the work flowing, more organic and a spontaneous 'reaction' to the subject and wall, overworking, over thinking and too much time seems to dilute the image and create something lifeless and static, the physical energy i put into the work itself, hopefully translates into the final image, transposition of energies! ( if that doesn't sound too new age / hippy! )

'Guardian'

Superb stuff, Dan. I particularly like your naturalistic work, especially the pieces viewed through rain covered windscreens. I think it brings a whole new dimension to the 'cityscape' pics we see so much of.

I just love the use of colour and the business of the reflected lights in the cityscapes.

Trespass Clothing ' Snowcase' - Customised Ski Helmet's Charity Art auction! Really proud to finally reveal my two hand painted, customised Ski Helmets created for Trepass Charity Art Project.

13 artists were given one or two helmets to attack with paints or whatever medium they liked, and the final results are to be auctioned for various charities, each artists helmets will raise money for a different charity. My chosen charity is Shelter, a superb charity helping the UK homeless!

'Autumn in New York City' - I love the way that each season of the year and each city around the world has it's own very distinct colour palette. It's almost a visual language, a key, that once understood allows the mood and atmosphere of a city to be conveyed with only subtle use of colours...I wanted to revisit my New York images to explore the muted, natural, earthy palette that some cities have,

Love it, the gray rainy backdrop really give the piece another dimension, making it so vibrant you could almost step into it.

You really have an admirable eye and technique for capturing and rendering light !
