The legal consequences are severe as it is fraud and as such is a criminal matter. The person also has had paypal payments in the past, so his details are on file. He was probably hoping that I was some niave buyer who wouldnt have noticed the difference between a fake and a real one.
Remember the name Robert McGarry, do not trade with him. As for me, I do not intend to buy any art off anyone without sufficient references and/or without seeing it first in the flesh.

Looks like the crackheads have gotten into the banksy scam game. This is horrible. There are so many BS auctions and fake prints/originals going around it's nuts. It's getting to the point that you really can't believe buy anything from anyone.

The following was on ebay for BIN of £3k. I was the highest bidder with £1131 that didn't reach reserve.
I have been offered it at my bid now. Subject to me meeting them at POW for handover, am I the only person that thinks this is a great deal?
I don't plan to sell it in the short term but don't want to feel that I paid over the top either.
