Banksy โข Barcode Print, by mrizzle on Jan 3, 2017 18:37:18 GMT 1, Question to those better knowledgeable than myself, many I know... I have seen a few images of signed Barcodes recently, and it seems some are signed in ink, some pencil, some with year some without...and one had POW embossed where the edition was. Is there a reason for this other than the one I can think that they were older, so moved slower and at the time more individual? Curious.... Thx
In all honesty, I think that POW were a bit more rogue back in the early days. The lower numbered prints were alleged to have been numbered in person by Banksy and there's a bit of rumour to suggest that this could be accurate. The embossing chiefly seems to feature on the later editions. I am sure that someone has a more concrete answer for you.
By way of update with my own print, I have requested a replacement COA and am resigned to selling it sooner rather than later so I'm hoping that it's not too protracted a process.

Getting the COA might b protracted but you'll need a sh!tty stick to beat off the buyers once you put it up for sale

bit of trivia: in la 2006, while laz numbered the majority of the 'barely legal' prints, many others were done (very neatly I should add) by kelsey brookes. and as for the remainder - dubbed 'barely legible' at the time - well, sorry about those ones...

Thank you to those of you who have contacted me by PM and I am sorry that I haven't been directly back in touch but I will. Things are a little chaotic at work and at home but I'll respond to each of you when I can.
