A tempting offer, and if it wasn’t specifically a signed version I’d be all over it 😁

Here's an image of my Backdoor Barcode, I purchased from a forum member about a yr ago. Another member called it's authenticity into question... Looks pretty good to me.

Banksy • Barcode Print, by silvermyn on Jul 2, 2019 11:33:04 GMT 1, My pleasure. Needless to say, the route of the escaped print is via the backdoor. Hence the backdoor name.
In a nutshell, a backdoor print is as good as the real deal but is worth a fraction of the value because backdoor prints are generally viewed as having been "lifted" without permission.
They are also difficult to authenticate as having been printed from the original screen. There are, unsurprisingly, few people willing to swear before a legal notary that they "lifted" it from the printhouse so as to create the necessary provenance expected by most third-party buyers.

Banksy • Barcode Print, by silvermyn on Jul 2, 2019 11:56:09 GMT 1, ok, thank you. Not seen these before I have a backdoor version of the Trolleys LA edition at home. May try and post a picture later but here's the story to how it came to be out in the wild.
The six prints at the LA show were delivered to the show in boxes. My understanding is that each box had a spoiled print taped to the top of it so it was easy to identify which prints were in each box. I've seen photos of the Sale Ends and Tolleys boxes from the show. My print is one that was taped to the top of the box containing the Trolleys prints. Apparently, when the prints sold out on the day, the person that sold it to me asked if he could buy the ones off the lid. I don't think the purchase was fully above board but he managed to do a deal.
It's probably the only backdoor print of Trolleys from the LA edition. Modern Multiples were pretty good at destroying the prints that were not part of the edition. My backdoor print only survived because it left the printhouse for a legitimate purpose and was no longer under MM's control when it made its bid for freedom.
I know it's real because it's sat next to a signed version of Trolleys from the LA edition and the only difference is the tape marks around the edge and a blue ring drawn around the trolley handles where there was a misprint.
I actually like the backdoor print as much as the signed version
