Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by ryskip on Feb 6, 2009 21:19:53 GMT 1, I'd love a queen vic, I used to live off St Marks Road in Easton and used to see the one on the shutters of the shop that sells total crap as mentioned in Existencilism all the time. Might even still be there?
Good luck with the sell.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by jakek on Feb 7, 2009 7:40:31 GMT 1, Yeah, it was one of the edition of 50 signed sheets. I sold it when i needed a deposit for a new car and got 1k for it just before the prices rocketted.
The other 2 i'd got because i'd seen examples all over bristol and haved his work. I'd wanted a BME that they had in the shop but it was £75 i think compared to these being £45...i used to pass the shop every day and they had the rude copper and have a nice day too. None of them were ever signed though - where did people get their signed ones from back in the day? did pow have a website from the very beginning?

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by foreman on Feb 8, 2009 2:27:07 GMT 1, pretty sure they dont know exactly how many were signed. but its thought that 50 or less of the 500 were signed randomly throughout the edition

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by jB on Feb 8, 2009 2:33:07 GMT 1, i have always heard 50 - 100 were signed, this one at auction is numbered 170 / 500 - which i find a bit odd - although authenticated by pest control. hmm - it'll be interesting to see what it goes for, but I dont think 5k is too far off

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Guest on Feb 8, 2009 2:35:34 GMT 1, I know the numbering on signed prints were very random with the early prints, and signed prints were not the first hundred or so. my unsigned is a low 2 digit number.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by bonesy on Feb 8, 2009 22:14:03 GMT 1, Signed one at auction: condition report under glass, no visible damage
I personally wouldnt touch it. The vast majority of prints are not framed with mylar strips or corners and I dont even want a framed print with archival linen tape. If it was unframed and the condition was known it would sell much better, IMO.

Most prints are framed that appear in auction, would not worry me too much. I would obviously inspect the print before the auction.
Mine is unframed, stored flat in acid free portfolio and in mint condition

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Guest on Feb 10, 2009 0:24:48 GMT 1, thanks for your p.m and offer snausages, but the price is still £1.8k
average price on EB $3,868.16 = £2,597.15
1 has sold in the last 6 months for £1700, 2 weeks before Christmas! not a real indicator of price IMO

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by snausages on Feb 10, 2009 0:32:57 GMT 1, avg price is a bit skewed imo due to the £ being abnormally strong to the $ from 07-08. But anyway, good luck, if you change your mind you can try me. Thanks
