The mayor of Schwabhausen, in deeply Catholic Bavaria, has come out against such an antenna in his village church. Mobile phone companies are hesitant as well.
"The churches actually don't like it so much," said Susanne Satzer-Spree, a Vodafone spokeswoman.
However, some houses of worship have managed to make their masts part of their identity.
"Everyone recognizes the church now," said Johannes de Fallois, pastor at a church in Neuburg.

 Love it! Ripper ;D Would make a loverly print  Pink, Light Blue, Yellow backgrounds  maybe lighter at the top than the bottom, so it looks a bit like a sunset ;D

They do have them hidden in crosses here but usually build them into the cross so it's not as evident. Churches doing so get a payout from the companies - nothing like selling your identity for a few bucks.

some of these, are supposedly, some type of satellite stations for cellular communications.... and not just invasive big brother cameras. and, there are a lot of camera intersections popping up all over.
