I thought he was known as "The Hoff" and mainly painted blondes in red bikini's bouncing down a beach shouting 'go on get your Winkel out' to blokes drowning off muscle beach.

Mr Brainwash "Keep Creating" Print - EINE Style?, by Cedric Mnich on Apr 7, 2011 15:34:21 GMT 1, Positive point about MBW is it sometimes help some of us (including me) discover or learn about famous artists we should know. I'm happy to discover Wool today. I guess Eine was influenced by him obviously but Eine was clever enough to bring something new (street work, different typos, color...). And now knowing about Wool's work makes MBW's work even less interesting than ever. Sad. But good for him he'll make an easy 25 grand in 1 mn again :-)

Mr Brainwash "Keep Creating" Print - EINE Style?, by skem on Apr 7, 2011 18:12:40 GMT 1, I actually didn't know about Wool, so I am happy I checked out this thread, even though I have no intentions of buying any MBW works. The arguments of who did what first is quite funny though, you can go on and on about who started doing what. I understand some from both sides and I actually met someone this week that takes photos like Slinkachu. I am a fan of Slinkachus work, but the more I saw this other photographers I started to like the messages behind his even more.

same thing here...
my problem with MBW is that I've seen Exit before I knew of him, and no matter what he does I just cant look at it as something valuable.. but something tells me that even if I didnt know the story, his work just wouldn't do it for me.. especially not the last 2 prints I've seen from him...

This is NOT the MBW print to make a profit from. Don't bother, you may have to let it go for less than cost. You should pass.

Mr Brainwash "Keep Creating" Print - EINE Style?, by skitchy on Apr 8, 2011 0:24:17 GMT 1, my first experience with MBW was waay before exit, in artrepublic in brighton. the moody owner was telling me that MBW was gunna be the next HUUGE thing (give him credit for that) whilst I was drooling at those Miss bugs prints when they first came out. He offered me a print of that fisher price elvis, told me it was ยฃ400 I took one look at it and thought this guy can't be serious... but here we are years later, 1 deleted account later( ironically for mbw comments), talking about this fool. 'life is beautiful' It depresses me the way art is going. such a blatant rip off but thats always been thiery's thing.

Mr Brainwash "Keep Creating" Print - EINE Style?, by gibbin82 on Apr 8, 2011 6:05:28 GMT 1, Just received the following email from the Mr Brainwash Juggernaut:
Hi Everyone, On Friday April 8, at 12pm PST, Mr. Brainwash will be releasing a new print "Keep Creating". All prints, except one, are hand-finished with paint, and unique. Each print is on hand-torn archival art paper and are signed, numbered, and thumb printed by the artist. Each print is an edition of 30 Size: 35.5in x35.5in Price: $250 Limit one per person
Quite amused by the email it is the one and only thing about this release that I actually like . The "All prints, except one, are hand-finished with paint, and unique" is a classic, wouldn't you feel disappointed if you got the one and only print that wasn't unique ;D
I think this is one print that could never have too much paint splatter
