Edition of 50 – $20 ($5 from each print will be donated to the cystic fibrosis foundaion – www.cff.org/) ) www.slackcandy.com/2011/buy/surreal/ These are from the same artist:  "The Treachery of Hate" shows a rainbow with the words "Ceci est juste un arc en ciel" ("This is just a rainbow") inscribed underneath. Inspired by Rene Magritte's "The Treachery of Images." Magritte's classic piece shows a pipe with the words "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" ("This is not a pipe"). While at first it seems a contradiction, it is true: the painting is not a pipe, it is an image of a pipe. Today, however, it is not the image that deceives us, but hate, bigotry, and sterotypes. Hate has taken a beautiful image, that of a rainbow, and placed a stigma on it. Hate has not only stigmatized the image of the rainbow itself, but also what the rainbow has come to represent for many. This is just a rainbow. This is just love. This is just equality. Hate has betrayed them all. - Moniker   Have edition 9 of 10 available of 'Treachery of Hate' for sale if anyone is interested?
