I think the cassettes are great, and as someone who thinks that the fast forward button on CD's/ipods etc has destroyed how we listen to music, I like the idea of these being usable and containing great tracks that once play is pressed are listened too for the duration.

Ignore me, you've done a fantastic job with these; and also with your written word if English isn't your first language. I'm just a miserable sarcastic git! Exactly! How's about CDs?
My band did a run of the new album on hand sprayed covers, went down a treat. Could do the same with blank CD-RS and forumites fill them and pass them on?

I also like those stencil CD covers idea, I did paint some inkjet white tops CDs which work well in the past, yet again i can't remember last time I've played a CD, my CD shelf is getting dusty now!

I like colab ideas but I do feel the same about how many members will have the means of recording/playing cassettes these days, original plan was to record them with a mix(scratched for the same reason if you buy one of these just let me know you want it recorded and I'll make sure you get a dope old school mix in them), these only happen to be because we no longer support tape at work so i was asked to throw them in the bin, so i keep them, took them home my 4 1/2 kid seen them and asked me what are they , so i decided to paint them, so that they can be appreciated again somehow as visual and what they represented and how important they were through my past upbringing, the boombox, the walkman, the mixtape for that girl, all came to mind so there you have it, these is how they come about, now i have another 100 or so more to do and bring those good memories back while at it and spread the love of those good old days I also like those stencil CD covers idea, I did paint some inkjet white tops CDs which work well in the past, yet again i can't remember last time I've played a CD, my CD shelf is getting dusty now! |
