The £50 Art Thread, by bmjt on Aug 12, 2008 16:08:53 GMT 1, Got mine framed alright, £10 frame from the mighty Ikea, and £20 double mount from Niche frames in Bristol, will try and upload a snap soonish, i'm sure you could do a much better job, but i'm a student with nil income, no museum glass for me.
Edit : I can't believe there are some left, it's a beautiful print, I recommend everyone to get one. An absolute bargain at £40.

The £50 Art Thread, by snowflake8888 on Aug 12, 2008 17:24:06 GMT 1, Hi all,
This is an image I'm did up to use for my trip to the Matt Small Project tomorrow. This is on a size 30x20 inch canvas. I've tried to simulate a concrete wall behind the image by applying a pumice paste. I was going for the street texture on the tiger behind and clarity for the girl (who is painted on canvas, no pumice to mar her body).
The tiger is layered and I've given her silverchrome paint detailing on the cloak.
If you think this piece is worth your support and GBP60, do drop me a PM.
Thank you for your time and consideration!

www.airecords.com/aishop_08/POSTERS.html
Both 50cm x 70cm, full screen printed editions of 20 each. £25 for the black and white, £40 for the four fluros and silver or £55 for the pair inc p&p anywhere in the world!
Here's mine that arrived today:
Great electronica record label too IMO. www.airecords.com

The £50 Art Thread, by bmjt on Aug 14, 2008 10:45:37 GMT 1, Nice and simple (+cheap) Please excuse the wallpaper - G/f's Student house
The framers where I got it mounted suggested a grey/green frame which actually looked amazing, really reacted with all the colours in the print, and was much more effective than the plain black, but that costs slightly more than Ikea standard issue. Might replace it when student loan comes through.
I also keep thinking that the white seems a tad stark, a re-mounting may also be in the cards. 'I'm all ears' in a Dolph Lundgren Universal Soldier style to suggestions/advice.

The £50 Art Thread, by Neverwork on Aug 15, 2008 11:05:11 GMT 1, ken rose prints £35 each
Ken was born in Los Angeles and currently lives in London and Munich.
Ken is a card carrying Gemini and can't make up his mind between being a record producer, songwriter, touring musician, photographer, multimedia artist and painter. Luckily, Ken doesn't see any difference between the forms of creativity…
While playing guitar with Marianne Faithfull on her current "Songs Of Innocence And Experience" world tour Ken took thousands of pictures on his cell phone and on Lomo cameras and began morphing them with his drawings and paintings. The result was so creatively satisfying that he went on a rampage and finished about 50 pieces. The resulting work has been featured in small shows and galleries in Europe.
Ken admits that he has no formal "art" training and his approach to this new medium is similar to the way he makes music....
....Ken gets inspired, throws the shit against the wall, and waits to see what sticks!!
...kinda like his life...
You can see and hear a section of Ken's work here…
