The £50 Art Thread, by Heavyconsumer on Nov 10, 2008 22:48:06 GMT 1, I posted this on page 28 or so of this thread, but so much art gets posted that pages are lost and forgotten pretty fast!
This print is top notch imo! The only small criticism I have, is that it's about A4 size and has quite a thick border, which does look exceptionally nice, but it makes the image a little on the small side. Still the image is very very nice and the printing is good. It's on a very sturdy but fairly thin card, so no tube and rolling nonsense either. Plus I recommend buying from G1988LA, they are nice people to deal with in there. After buying this, I got in touch with the artist and ended up buying a canvass as a gift for a good friend too (very inexpensive too). I'm a big fan of her work, but I'm not sure how commited she is to the fine art side of things, as she seems quite entrepreneurial as well and does some design work (did a nice Bjork gig poster a while back, easily found on Expresso Beans). To see some of her work go to www.allisontorneros.com
Imo, you won't find a much nicer LE image for this type of money ($75).

The £50 Art Thread, by Martin DK on Nov 10, 2008 23:37:24 GMT 1, By the way, it may already have been posted, but I really love Cherri Wood's work, Opus has her very first sreenprint on their webpage. I dont think its as good as many of the originals, but still a very nice image, at a great price, £50

I cant believe that she is only 18!?! (according to her myspace, but then arnt we all 18 on myspace?) She must be a prolific artist as she seems to be everywhere at the moment. And yes, im begining to really like her style as well.

The £50 Art Thread, by Heavyconsumer on Nov 11, 2008 14:15:47 GMT 1, I like Cherri's style along with plenty of her work, but this print is not a good advertisment for it imho. Especially when you can pick up watercolours for less than many artists' prints. She's very friendly and approachable and I recommend anyone interested in her work gets in touch with her, before deciding this print is the way to go. I think her watercolours are sold through quite a few galleries, so there's lots of her work to choose from and it's reasonably priced. It may also be worth starting a WTB thread in the ebay section here, as there are members with her work who might swap or sell it in some cases too.

Cheers for the heads up. Love the size of those. The first of them 'to:you' is great!!
Have been looking at her latest stuff from 1988imaginaryfriends.blogspot.com/ and have just enquired about Rosies imaginary parade..it looks sweet... The only trouble with her being so prolific is that they look so collectable! This habit could cost a fortune..

The £50 Art Thread, by dmandpenfold on Nov 13, 2008 20:45:55 GMT 1, I was happy to bump into MrH a few weeks back at the eelus show, a very nice chap whom i accidentally called fat... ... which of course he isn't
anyway i digress, we dont seem to hear much about him on the forum these days so thought it worth mentioning here, most of his stuff is under GBP 50 and very well done, i have a couple of his older pieces, one of which is framed and hanging.
there's some good stuff to check out on his site which may tempt a few.

The £50 Art Thread, by kj on Nov 15, 2008 7:37:33 GMT 1, Is it Mark Brabants stuff that costs something like $70 to ship to the uk? I like some of his stuff but when postage costs more than the print, it puts me off a bit.
I love that Alison Torneros print. Been meaning to buy it for ages...

The £50 Art Thread, by Dellboyy on Nov 19, 2008 17:43:28 GMT 1, I've just added a couple of versions of 'Heath' on cardboard to my shop, available for £35 each here:
dell.bigcartel.com
For more pics see my main thread:
banksyforum.proboards82.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=artwork&thread=27863&page=1
I've finished messing with this stencil now, so the pieces left on my shop will be the last available.
Cheers!
Update: Cardboard versions now both sold. The canvas version remains, and the album cover versions, which come with the latest vinyl release on my shop.
