Link to see details shots.
This took some looking to find, but I am happy I did!

I agree. I have one, as do both my kids. There are small clear plastic plate holders on amazon that, whilst not looking particularly attractive at first sight, are effective and unobtrusive when they plate sits on them. Cheap as chips.

You shouldnโt use anything made of metal wire that grips the plate so you can hang it on a wall. They damage the plate. The thing I was mentioning is a transparent unobtrusive small stand. The plate will only get damaged if you knock it off!

As you can see the ink shows through the back. Also the typewriter left indentations in the paper and show at the back.
I think they just googled on the text and came across a print : Ah, that's it.
The landscape has a signature as : DAW So they attributed it to Alex Daw. And called it : Sunrise. But DAW is the signature of David Wightman - and it's called Arcadia.
Good scores there !!

Haha! Very fair! Yes, indeed thatโs exactly what I bought and once the plate is on it itโs hardly noticeable. Thank you god.

Yes exactly. It was mentioned on antiques roadshow (I think). Metal wire should never touch the porcelain. Even when there are rubber protectors, over time they dry out and disintegrate, leaving the sprung metal wire touching the porcelain. Thatโs what they said, and it sounded plausible to me.

Thatโs brilliant and well done you for having the keenness of eye to notice in the first instance. Must confess that Iโm unfamiliar with David Wighman so will have to check him out but another good spot by the sounds of it.
