VIDEO OF THE DAY..., by gibbin82 on Dec 24, 2010 0:18:13 GMT 1, Thanks for the reminder of someone who should have been a national treasure (even though he was a Scot), I used to run a group on the Internet about the late Mr Cutler we had a big following and used to unofficially promote his work (he hated anything to do with the Internet), we were responsible for a mini revival of his career towards the end of his life, starting in small bookshops and ending up headlining at the South Bank. I will always remember him fondly especially the sessions he did for John Peel and Andy Kershaw from 1969 right through to 2002. He was close friends with Paul McCartneyand John Lennon (was a big influence on Lennon and taught him to write poetry, also appeared in the MagicAl Mystery Tour as Buster Bllodvessel the bus driver) I believe he did more sessions on the Peel show than any other artist and is one of the only artists appeared on all BBC radio channels pre digital radio. I have a vast collect ion of his radio sessions and would still be managing the group now if it wasn't for the fact that after his Mr Cutlers (he only allowed very close friends to calll him Ivor) death his son inherited the rights to his work and stopped us from posting and sharing his radio sessions.
