Thank you Coach, what a talent, its not easy as gallery breaking away from a formula which works, in Ireland you'll find almost all galleries exhibit work by only irish artists, thats what sells, the familiar and a large percentage are acamedians/associates of the RUA or RHA which is great in one sense, supporting local talent but it limits local art lovers to enjoy some of the incredible talent from afar, i hope to bring some of this to our shores over the next few years all being well, love this thread!

Images like this make me wonder why I spent so much money on street art rather than broadening my horizons

Artists You Might Not Know, by Mirus Gallery Poesia on Apr 8, 2015 0:18:27 GMT 1, Has to be a Joke. I doubt this artists work is anywhere near 1 Million, and I hate when people use celebrities to try to Hype their own work. I usually run the opposite way when celebrities are buying bad art.

Artists You Might Not Know, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Apr 8, 2015 3:09:00 GMT 1, CJ HENDRY.. For a few years I have been on the 'coolhunter' mailing list mainly for the architecture and interior design, its a great website. The art i always thought was Ikea type crap stuff. A while back I saw CJ's work on there and there was a Zebra, amazing hand drawn piece. I said to the wife fancy getting one of her works for my daughters room (this was way before she became famous). Wife said no obviously and her works have gone up really fast . Amazing talent though..

Not meet her personally but apparently is a great human and deserves the success. What could of been purchased for $5k a while back will now cost you $20k. I see the art world very similar to the chefing world and that is that there are a lot of amazinly talented folk out there but that does not mean you will ever hear about them or that they will make any real money from it. It seems to me the one thing that makes the difference is the Hype. Humans primarily are sheep and love to follow and be told what to follow. P.s I consider myself a goat.

Artists You Might Not Know, by lollo88 on Jun 15, 2015 13:37:59 GMT 1, Hey guys, I would like to introduce this amazing italian artist. His name is Federico Pisciotta, from Rome. His art is all about how nowadays society tries to turn us into replaceable, recyclable, serial productions (like LEGOS or Videogames). I've seen his show in New York and Milan and LOVED IT. Here is a piece I got from the show in Milan, and a couple more. Enjoy!
