Artists You Might Not Know, by treweman on Jun 22, 2015 19:07:35 GMT 1, Thinking about artists that might appeal to collectors on this forum, the name that jumps out at me is Jerome Mesnager. Don't know how much street art he has created in the last year or two, but for almost three decades he has been sharing his creative vision with the world.
Would also have to agree with Delano that Shawn Huckins hasn't received nearly as much attention as I think his art deserves. He is certainly receiving critical acclaim, and his pieces at exhibits seem to sell quickly, but there just isn't much love thrown his way on the forums. He isn't a street artist, and hasn't produced many prints (his originals sell for thousands of dollars) which may help explain his lack of exposure on the UAA forum. Nonetheless, he is well worth seeking out.

Artists You Might Not Know, by thesewalls on Jun 23, 2015 4:14:48 GMT 1, David Ellis. Been running with Doze for a while. Paints with Maya and many others. I hear he's been directing recently. If you have 5 minutes this video is worth checking out. If you only have 30 seconds start at the 03:00 minute mark.

Artists You Might Not Know, by thesewalls on Jun 24, 2015 15:27:32 GMT 1, Would anyone care to explain what they enjoy about Shawn Huckins' work? I am genuinely curious. I want to like it, he just seems like a young gimmicky version of Wayne White, inspired by Mr. B's Crude Oils. He paints the whole image at least yeah?

I honestly like his other work better, without the text on giant paint chips.

Artists You Might Not Know, by cmodart on Jul 28, 2015 0:59:48 GMT 1, Has to be a Joke. I doubt this artists work is anywhere near 1 Million, and I hate when people use celebrities to try to Hype their own work. I usually run the opposite way when celebrities are buying bad art.
Correct. This is a total joke. I see this stuff pop up on the bay all the time. This is bad art. Hate to say it, but I'm tired of seeing this crap...

Its odd you can buy bits of the Bay for 20 quid when he's just sold to Harry Styles (hasn't every wannabe sold to Harry Styles now) - that said he does the odd interesting thing and some that are cute (if a bit twee) and the rest is just is a bad copy/clone. The amount of stuff on ebay suggest there's not a lot of quality control going on and pricing just seems random - 20 quid or a fortune.

It's a nice idea but not a nice image. There's something distinctly sphincterly about it.
