It is all a bit weird. Even if he is 'telling the truth' this guy thinks it's ok to knock off another copy of something he was asked to do? Does he therefore have any morals at all? why should anyone trust anything he says.
I was born very close to Corsham and still have a lot of family in the area.
One banksy fan also lives close and asked if he could visit and look at it. the guy said no. that speaks volumes to me!

The seller claimed that he had done the prints FOR Banksy originally, then thugs gave him a good old verble pasting and others like me just kept sending him abuse, he then revised his item, the guy sent me msgs back and he doesnt have a clue about anything, he thinks the girl running POW is nicknamed LAZ when Laz is steven lazard.
Id not buy of this seller and if you do then your a fool.

If it's the seller I think it is, then he seems ok as a person. has also sold several CND soldiers signed as well, so he's laughing.
surely it's partly 'our' fault though (the buyers) for demanding we have a signed copy. I have unsigned ones of CND, napalm, I fought, and 1 rat - I'm happy they were cost price, provenenced, and readily available from POW.
I'm just not sure when I'll ever be able to get a copy of older stuff - want Happy Choppers, Laugh Now and Golf Sale mainly. even unsigned they are hard to get hold of, and at a decent price.
It;s not their fault but the whole point of POW was to make art affordable wasn't it?

but they are overpriced and seem to buy up stuff like signed prints and charge high prices, but dont forget they are a gallery/shop so have rent to pay and other overheads, so they gota make some money to keep going,
another little trick they do is but the price up on prints that are almost sold out even before they are actually sold out!! so if you see them put the price up from there normal price it "could" mean there almost sold out.
(if anyones noticed they have put the price up on "get out while you can")

I had done exactly the same. he was little turd when he replied, but did get a bit more reasonable later on.

Anyway, have to say I like what's being talked about on this forum. I'm not just a seller though, I'm a collector. Fortunately, I've managed to build a substantial collection and so if you want any info on the older stuff then just drop me a line. I'm also a picture framer and so if you want any advice on how to frame or who to use then I will be more than happy to help.
I'm not (generally) a rude p*ick, just someone who is very busy and doesn't have much time. Sorry.
