Thank You and Goodnight, by EdgeArt on Jan 12, 2010 11:43:52 GMT 1, First of all happy new year to everyone and I hope the festive season was a good one.
2009 was a great year at Edge Art, with successful shows both on and off line. However all good things must come to an end and unfortunately that means Edge Art, it has been a highly enjoyable couple of years and working with all the artists and organising our shows has been fantastic.
However things are really hectic at the moment with my โday jobโ and seemingly getting busier by the week and with Edge Art also very active I have found that I have had to make a choice and as a result I donโt have the time available to devote to Edge Art anymore. It is purely for this reason that I am closing the company, absolutely no other.
We still have some orders outstanding and all of these will be fulfilled in the next couple of weeks โ it would be sooner however our computer lost in a fight with a glass of vimto and was killed in action. The hard drive is recoverable so we are currently organising that, once it is done (early next week) we will be able to complete all of the orders in the pipeline.
Original artworks will begin disappearing off the website in the next few days and by the end of February all should be gone. We still have stock of various prints and will be offering these up in various ways in the coming weeks.
Once again we thank you for your support over the past couple of years, it is massively appreciated, and wish you all the best in 2010 and beyond

I'll definitely still be posting on here, I'd have loved to continue to be honest but with the time I would be able to devote to Edge Art I felt that it wouldn't be fair to the artists that I was working with if I didn't have the necessary time to do the job that I and they expect.

not supposed to use in my work but has helped so much when files or drives become corrupt...
honestly must have been something thought long and hard about and easy for me to say nooooo keep it up and running but in your post was honest with day job and running edgeart one had to go and sure artists you supported appreciate that.
you had an idea and from that you actually worked to make it happen and 90% people just dont do this... think big achievement you have done and so sorry has to come to an end but sure aswell as the clients actual artists appreciate all the hard work that you have done .... hard to set up gallery full stop let alone the climate that you did but you developed a loyal following who appreciated art for the content not just the value and speak to people that have purchased from you and never had issues.
got my respect for giving upcoming artists a chance and to promote them including posh one and only hope get to see you as a curator some point in the future as i am sure once things calm down in work life be something you would be interested in.
keep well and hope your back is ok now...! hopefully can be happy in knowing something many talked about you actually achieved and have to say successfully... keep well mate and i will always think you did a stirling job... s
