It sounds like you're fairly new and you're keen to make some money quickly (apologies if that's not the case). You could get badly burnt if you start following the dreadful trends on this forum and find yourself holding a load of expensive bags...
But hey, what the hell do I know...?

My advice would be to keep away from works purportedly by Andy Warhol โ unless you really know what you're doing, or you're purchasing from a very reputable dealer / auction house with the requisite expertise.
The market for this artist is riddled with fakes.

It hardly takes a mastermind to buy on eBay some vintage Coca-Cola bottles, snap-on seal-again bottle stoppers, and silver spraypaint. Nor is it difficult to copy labels and give items a roughed-up, aged look.

There are thousands of so called hand signed Warhol pieces sold every month in auctions for a few grand but all of them are fakes, YES ALL OF THEM.
If you want a Warhol just buy a Sunday B Morning unsigned print because if you want a real signed one you will pay big money.

black stamps appear in the Feldman & Shellmann's catalog raisonnรฉ.
for a marilyn, black stamp, you can still find some at attractive prices.

This was a few years ago... but I was considering bidding on this auction.
(Not the best colour probably, but a signed Warhol print, and at a reputable auction house, for ยฃ4k !
Even at the time signed prints were going for far more... so why would this, and some others, be so much cheaper!?

The expensive ones, like this in the same auction www.phillips.com/detail/andy-warhol/UK030213/15, have Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board stamp. Which means it's an authentic work by Warhol, it should also have an Estate of Andy Warhol stamp.

And one step beyond that would be works produced by himself, I assume.
