I got married last Friday and already been plotting my once a year lads trip with the wife. Cheap flight from Sydney to Tokyo to see the roses, be a great weekend! Although as someone pointed out, will they be able to complete a world tour? Not into squires art but did like the spike isl print. Great news and a gig and new album.to look fwd to....happy daze!

Not yet... just me hoping they play somewhere over here oz/asia. Would love to be back for those Manchester gigs though..

The press conference has put an end to recent speculation that the band would be reuniting for a tour and possibly a third album release.
Singer Ian Brown has said that the group is already rehearsing for the tour and that the band will be playing several new songs. Talks for a third studio album are in the works, but are not yet confirmed. The group has been on hiatus since October 1996, just two months after the horrifying show at Reading where the group was booed off stage. Reports from the show have claimed that Brownโs vocals were out of whack and off-key. Other reports cite that the group was not performing well as a whole.
At the press conference, Brown took time to point out that the tour is not an attempt for the group to relive glory days, but rather a chance to โshake up the world.โ
โOur plan is to shake up the world. Weโre gonna go around the world next year,โ Brown said. โWeโre going to start off in Manchester and play two big gigs.โ
Rumors circulated in both 2007 and 2009 that the band had re-grouped with the hopes of a tour and a much anticipated third album release.
The tour kicks off June 29th at Heaton Park in Manchester, with a follow-up gig on Jun 30th. Tickets are expected to sell fast and are ยฃ55 each, with a limit of four per person. VIP ticket packages are also available for ยฃ199 and ยฃ299.

I can't bloody wait!!! 3 shows fully sold out 175,000 tickets in an hour!! It ws like F5ing for a Banksy.... Been waiting for this for years since seeing them at Leeds Poly on the Second Coming Tour. Ian Brown has really brushed up his vocals over the last couple of years, his solo shows have got better and better... Now just waiting to see where else I'm gonna see them....

If the band hadn't got back together, it would just be a nice piece on my bookshelf and most people would have forgotten about it.
