you're not missing the point. the point is it is up to you what you like. just because a lot of people may like something, in your eyes you are totally justified in not liking an image.

The only reason I say that is I reckon this is sooo sought after. Bearing in mind that these were sold to people that bought Micallef originals at the laz show and these people are hardly the sort to think about selling them... so you could say there are 25 prints in the world, yet maybe if your lucky only 3-4 will "ever" leave the owners collections so this print is then even more limited. Add that to the fact that when USA and Japan / China discover Micallef I beleive he could be more sought after than Banksy?? And when you think that there are over 100 kate's and the price they go for? Just my opinions but I think this could be worth more than a Kate? What do you lot think?

I can see why ppl are buying. Originals in LA will be 40k ++ prints will be around 4k (English money). But.... will our American cousins really be prepared to pay these amounts (considering the Dollar v ound rate at the moment?) for a relatively unknown artist in the US?
Those buying who love his work - fairy nuff.
Those buying to flip in the Autumn are taking a massive gamble that I personally think will backfire.
But thats just my opinion.... and what do i know?
My crystal balls are jangling.

We Statesiders, and our poor excuse for a currency, buying his work is not even really a variable in the equation. The LA Show will be sold before almost any of us know what is on sale. Would expect to see 1/2 the stock selling back into Britain and the other half snatched up right quick by the LA Hollywood set("Hey Jude, I got one of those Micallefs. It is to die for."). The "show" is just that, a show for media attention/buzz. The selling part is probably largely over and done with already. Laz's main task will be placing the right pieces into the right collections.
