Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by gilsteph on Dec 29, 2007 0:11:33 GMT 1, Details on the Pax Britannica for anyone interested. FYI the prints are all smaller than A4 and about 25+ were given out free to the artists that participated. Of the remainder a number of them were broken up and sold so getting hold of a complete set is difficult and probably expensive. Anyone know the going rate?

Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by Oliver Garland on Dec 29, 2007 13:48:13 GMT 1, I didnt do it myself. Banksy did. Its on the side of an old Tv the photo doesnt do it justice. It faintly says revolt in the placard. I got it off a reliable source, someone who has owned a lot of originals and currntly owns a fridge with 4 rats on different ones. Hes also had (all the fun is happening somewhere else stencil and others.)

Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by mammal2 on Dec 29, 2007 14:51:05 GMT 1, Fair play. Looks like he had an off day eh. Cool! Most of the rats around London are gone. There are still a handful that are sprayed directly onto buildings and a few I know of that could be taken. Its really starting to make me sad that Banksy is becoming bigger than Jesus and people are simply cutting pieces out of a wall. SAMO and all that! Bah! Sometimes its really cool to have a quick look around the Brabican and see a few pieces that are still really fresh. Saw some really great work yesterday and had a few pointed out to me by Curley a few months ago. Now it simply gets cut out sold to some rich cunt and shipped to America no expense spared (even if it is 20ft). Bah! OI oi!

ยฃ1 Million! surely thats just talk Why would anyone pay that sort of money for a wall? I should think if you gave Banksy as call he would happily go out to your pad in LA and decorate your wall with whatever you want for less than ยฃ1 Million ;D

Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by cashman on Dec 29, 2007 17:10:32 GMT 1, Its not really just a wall is it Silk..... if it is, why do we all spend thousands on nits of paper or wood. Although I dont agree with it, this is exactly what was going on back in the days of JMB

I am suprised this pic didnt get much reaction !! as far as i know the image hasnt been posted on the net anywhere before ... its like a little lost banksy from back at the beginning !!
Anyhows what i wondered is if anyone here has had any restoration work done on any pieces on plywood !!?? can anyone recommend someone who is capable of restoring the piece ?? and before anyone asks this was not claimed from the street, it was left behind in the rubbish when Banksy moved studio !! ( my missus used to share studio space with him!!)

Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by orangematt on Dec 30, 2007 20:21:13 GMT 1, Hey Cashman ..
I know that it aint a spectacular piece and i agree the freehand graff work and the paintings are fantastic ... oh how i wish i had one of them on plywood ... Still IMO to have an example of very early stencil work .. done in the studio .. ( not taken from the street) .. an image that as far as i have found has never been seen anywhere on line or in any of the books , or on any of the forums ... its a rare thing .. no-one can deny that Just a shame that the man put his knee through it ... still i reckon its worth gettin restored !! dont you ??

Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by mammal2 on Dec 30, 2007 20:24:34 GMT 1, I think its simply brilliant! I would approach Laz and see if you can get some prov. They are quite crap, but I rthink it would sell for a right packet if you wanted to sell that is. By far the earliest non-street piece I have seen. Beautiful!

Its well worth keeping bro, as for restoring Id probably just frame it in a box type frame where the sides just clamp the piece together
Godluck with it!!!

Post a picture of your most amazing Banksy piece., by orangematt on Jan 7, 2008 23:48:58 GMT 1, I certainly intend to hang on to it for as long as its sensible to !!! the worrying thing is that there will come a point where i just wont be able to afford to keep it , if you know what i mean ... insurance premium !! as for getting in touch with laz , i been waiting for 11 months now ... no reply to any request , or subsequent emails asking for idea of timescale to get back in touch with me !! not even a denial to provide authentication ... its a difficult situation now as it really needs official valuation to be fully covered by insurance ! anyone else get a valuation from official source other than laz ? eg auction house or art expert ??
