Absolutely right there McNuts...I thought narrowing it down to 10 would help ease the thread, mine will end up with at least 14/15 tracks on there.
Which will probably be:
11: Queen - Fat Bottomed Girls 12: Ali Love - K Hole 13: Groove Armada - Get Down 14: The Pixies - Hey 15: Rick James - Mary Jane (cos sometimes you just need a little Rick)

Mix Tape, by michaelscott on Sept 14, 2007 11:43:01 GMT 1, no one here is going to like my mix tape, but I don't care...Im just a Canadian kid who fell in love with Britpop (don't shoot me) you have loads of great stuff from canada too:- A Silver Mt Zion Godspeed you Black Emporer Leonard Cohen Joni Mitchell(is she from canada?) Carla Bozalich Arcade Fire and on and on no doubt Joni Mitchell is canadian. so is kd lang, and the cowboy junkies, skinny puppy...and for some reason, i recall reading/hearing that rick james was canadian born. Carla Bozalich...Geraldine Fibbers, one of the greatest EVER bands. and live, they were fucking incredible. IMO, the 4 best bands that came from LA, were all incredible live bands ( the doors,x, and the germs)

Mix Tape, by teatwosugars on Sept 14, 2007 13:00:54 GMT 1, So I've decided to make my partner a mix tape, (okay cd), (okay playlist for their ipod)...still narrowing down the 10 tunes to make it to the cut, but wondering if you sat down to make a mix tape for your significant other what 10 tunes would simply HAVE to make the cut. I have this so far, in no particular order: 1: Snow Patrol - You're All I have 2: Rae & Chrisian - Spellbound 3: James - Laid 4: Skipworth & Turner - Thinking About Your Love 5: Hot Chip - Over and Over 6: Etta James - At Last 7: Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough 8: Stevie Wonder - Bad Mamma Jamma 9: Rolling Stones - Miss You 10: Lovemakers - This Feeling PS: really want to add in RATM - Killing In the Name Of, not sure it sits well anywhere. ;D
Streetgirl, I love your choice of Spellbound. I'm not sure if you've heard it, but the madhatter remix of this tune is well worth a listen to- funky as fuck! It was actually the wife and I's first dance at our wedding a couple of years ago. Absolutely superb
P.S. Glad to see a bit of Stevie in there as well! Nice one ;D

Mix Tape, by stuey09 on Sept 14, 2007 13:19:05 GMT 1, Saw Killing Joke at Leeds one or two years ago Coach (1983 ) They were outstanding. Supported by Crown of Thorns who were also really good. Have you checked out KJ's last but one CD? It's got Dave Grohl on drums and does the business.

Mix Tape, by a4mnt on Sept 15, 2007 21:25:16 GMT 1, diversity is what makes the world go around....and around...etc.
No-one used Stereophonics - Dakota.
or Janes motherf**king Addiction. 3 Days will be played at my funeral
I don't think i could make a list, mainly cos my memory is fucked up from too much caning it in the 90's, and also because there are so many good tunes.
But out of all those.....Slowmo's made me laugh out loud. Wicked.
And SoD, their still going? You'll never take me alive never fails to send shivers down my spine. A lot like Love Like Blood by Killing Joke.
