How many of us have "1 or no' Banksy's?, by Imoy-San on Jul 4, 2007 12:29:04 GMT 1, Am I in a minority, with all the trading, buying, selling, flipping, etc?
I have one Banksy print - "Flag". The rest of my extensive collection is a mix of American pop-art, some awesome graffiti prints, canvasses and some ceramic pieces.
But just one Banksy...
Kindly let me know, what's the deal? Does it feel lucky to have more than one?

I don't have the budget to buy Banksy work on the secondary market, so most my buying goes into supporting other local artists (not that Banksy is really local anymore) where possible, or artists that have featured in Bristol. Street artists and others.

I own only 1 Banksy... However, if I was starting now, I would not be able to own one as I cannot justify spending the ££££ that they go for nowadays.
I do believe you can be an avid fan of Banksy and a member of this forum without owning any Banksy's. This isn't some special club where the prerequiste to membership is the ownership of a Banksy. I am quite comfortable with the fact that (unless I'm lucky with POW) I will never own another Banksy. There's no way I'm gonna fall into the trap of Credit Card debt purely for some kudos about how many Banksy's I own.
Likewise, I can appreciate the works of Neate, Amp, Baldwin etc without feeling I have to OWN a piece by them to show that I'm 'into' them.
I'm sure Im not alone in this way of thinking (?)

Had 5 (well 6, but one was a second Sepia Morons - for reasons explained previously of not liking the colour so buying another  ) but have sold/part exchanged, (all agreed but all still in my possession) the second Sepia, signed Monkey Queen and signed CND.
Still have a signed Virgin Mary, Grin Reaper and Sepia Morons though ;D

Its now on the nay at £700 with over 4 days to go. 
I'll probably never get to own one now. At least I have an LV Child!

Sooooooo many new members added to the current prices. POW couldn't cope before, bless 'em, so they don't stand a fecking chance when the nxt one goes online.

There is no way that I could afford to buy from the secondary market. Saying that, since I have been on this forum I have been introduced and bought some fantastic art that has given me the same pleasure I got when I first 'discovered' Banksy.
