W.T.F????, by tomhills1 on May 10, 2007 19:30:01 GMT 1, may i draw your attention to today's Sun. page 14 to be precise. it turns out that this estemed litterary publication is running a competition to find the greatest living briton (shame diana's dead or maybe she could win  ).
there are various catergories including music: nominations ; elton john, take that and amy winehouse (no noel gallagher, jagger and richards, yorke and greenwood, brown and squire, morrisey and marr, paul mccartney etc). sport: nominations; joe calzage, sir ranulph fiennes (really? sport? is that how he earns a living? it's in the sun so don't question it) and ............. wait for it................ lewis hamilton (who is twelve and drives a go-kart. well he has done a few times now).
however, in the arts catergory we have; anthony gormley, sam mendes and i'm sorry to say - "graffiti artist banksy". oh dear.
goodbye street-cred, hello high-brow critique from the likes of fiona philipps, phillip schofield and fern britton, loose women and richard and judy. not to mention a hard hitting interview/monologue from jonathon (d)ross.
i tell you my friends, the end is nigh, banksy is as cool as jordan and peter.
