Sorry to be a pain and post in the general forum, but I am heading to Bristol this weekend (leaving this afternoon), so any response would be appreciated.
I am there for a day (not sure whether Sat or Sun yet) and was wondering 3 (1 non-Bristol, but forum related) things:
1. I remember some talk on an exhibition in Bristol going on at the moment (I want to say GhostBoy or Cauty, but am unsure). Can anyone provide details, incl. location, etc.?
2. Can you please provide details of some cool Elektrik Sheep type stores in Bristol. Again, I'm not sure which day I'll be there, so any that are open Sat or Sun would be appreciated. I'm talking about a store with prints/clothes/toys/etc.
3. How the feck does the search engine on this forum work. If I leave the search field blank, i can click the search button. But once I type something in there, it nulls my chances to press search.
Thanks muchly for your help, greatly appreciated.
I've armed myself with my Banksy location map, along with printouts of addition graffs, and am raring to go!

ok... but as I'm a nice bristol type here goes (rapidly)
1. Ghostboy expo is on at the mo. It's at the centrespace gallery which is down a tiny alleyway off Corn Street. This is in central Bristol, not a milion miles away from the Galleries shopping centre, or the St Augustines Parade area.
2. Off the top of my head I would think the wonderful workshop might be worth a visit. Again, very central, top of the Christmas Steps. www.wonderfulworkshop.com/
3. no idea.
Mild Mild West in Stokes Croft is a must see. Hanging Lovers (??) at the foot of Park Street as well of course. Hope this helps. Bring some nice weather with you and enjoy Bristol.

As Jellya says, Mild Mild West is brilliant and really easy to find. The Park Street mural is a bit overrated IMHO but worth taking a photo of.
If you're near the Triangle, make sure you pop into The Park bar, or at least look through the window from where you can see some Micaleffs. I apologise to the bouncer there who I've lectured about the prints three times in the last fortnight at about 2am when popping by on my way home from Magic Roll...

Not entirely sure where it is as i've never seen it but my sister's friend says its near Musets. Seeing as he lives on a road off from pizza express round about, im assuming it's more clifton village somewhere. Might be worth checking out. Also what's this about Banksy loacation map?

I managed to get the Centrespace Gallery and picked myself up a Hoe Fucking Hoe. Now I can cross my mum off my christmas list!
Loved Bristol by the way. I'm from Aus and, seeing as Bristol is a port town, was expecting it to be a lot like Liverpool, etc. but it exceeded my expectations 1,000%. Can't wait to get back there next year for a full weekend (rather than a 6pm Saturday to 10am Sunday fleeting visit).
I managed to see the hanging Man and Mild Mild West, but sadly didnt have enough time to get up around and see it all. Fortunately, this is where the term 'next time' comes in.

Other than that, the Arnolfini is always free, but not street art really.

Stokes croft and workshop as have been mentioned before, but if your their for only 24 hours get a map and plan it, all do-able in a day.

Then around to shaftesbury ave to see herberts bakery,just wander the streets round there,that'll take an hour or more,then i'd head for the duke of york in st werburghs..that is worth the trip to Bristol alone in my book,MMW as per,park st,workshop if it's open (??)
then into town,over Bristol bridge heading to the old rummer pub,1st left St nicholas st (??) Huge Sickboy temple + smaller ones furthe down the road then round towards the severn shed and see whats new round there,across the road to the thekla,as per above,keep your eyes peeled for "Kush" & De Baron they're everywhere!!From Kingswood to St Pauls!

Nice one Hugs! I just had to go and check out the Xenz/Jago/Walker/Eeuls combo is Wilder Street again as soon as you posted this - I mean how cool is that piece!! I just Jago's figures on that one, they're awesome! Eulus stencil is huge too, really impressive. I'd love to see a huge, combined artist print released! How cool would that be?!

A combined print would be good..
Bugger it's pissing it down- typical british bank holiday weather! So if you do get a chance later when it stops raining, the area round Cato street in Easton is worth checkin out- not just for the banksy on the side of the house but just a few roads away there's an entire house covered- don't know who by though.

Even if the art isn't your thing the willingness (or sheer bravery) of people to open up their houses for 2 days is pretty commendable. Once you start nosing around it's suprising what might crop up for sale.
Andy Council doing his live drawings on the pub windows is one to catch - but I can't see him mentioned this year unfortunately.
It's an excellent day out. Loads of artists in such a small suburb... staggering really.
Even if the art isn't your thing the willingness (or sheer bravery) of people to open up their houses for 2 days is pretty commendable. Once you start nosing around it's suprising what might crop up for sale.
