Yes they have. Mostly offering Nick Walker originals of HK.
They often do interesting exhibitions and May (the owner) is very approachable.
Definitely should hook up next time something interesting comes up!

Foods a bit poncey but. It has had some good reviews both for the food and the art work which by all accounts is as mentioned mega

With wine a meal for two is about 250-300 quid so I have heard ...so not cheap.

They have to pay for the art somehow I suppose.

Fantastic place…. no doubt about it.

But I'm wondering if the whole thing make sense….:

Let's say "two wealthy chinese investors using Bibo as a puppet are opening a restaurant in HK…" would have sound more true to the reality….
And these guys are very, very generous with the artists there, believe me…

Anyway, again… incredible place with fantastic pieces…. but if this is a new trend I am not happy.
If the only way in the future to see great street art pieces will require to spend 300$ on a meal, I think street art has lost his way….

It is just some rich blokes in HK showing off their art at a restaurant but that's no bad thing. I went to a members club their once taken by an old client and it was stacked with contemporary Chinese and Western art 4 floors full of it worth a fortune way above this in monetary value etc. but it collectors displaying their wares that's a good thing. Note they have not taken or displayed any street pieces, so see nothing wrong with it at all. Most of this stuff is usually stacked in an apartment, house or penthouse somewhere. Yes their rich whatever but FairPlay to them in my view.

Hong Kong restaurant “BIBO” has recently been unveiled, boasting an interior designed by creative agency Substance and furnished with a jaw-dropping curation of street art. KAWS’ Companion sits alongside pieces by Shephard Fairey, Banksy, Invader, Damien Hirst, Mr. Brainwash, Daniel Arsham and JR, in a space that resembles a Parisian diner-cum-art gallery.
In order to tie in the French cuisine on offer with contemporary street art, a new history for the building was created – the abandoned regional headquarters of the fictional “Compagnie Générale Française de Tramways” (CGFT). Things like furniture, train timetables and unused ticket rolls are included as part of the design, inviting the new inhabitants, squatters and artists who gather in the vacated building to share food and ideas. Subway ventilation systems are hinted at through brass pipes while complex light fixtures appear as train signal lights. Abandoned construction sites are referenced through the bars, which are crafted from layers of unevenly stacked marble, with individual dining tables created from misaligned stone slabs.
