Went down again today to take some pics. Check out my flickr (see below). Don and Fuel can be seen putting up some outlines, better late than never. I think Don was in Bristol so he has an excuse but apparently Fuel spent more time talking and not enough painting so he came back today.

Not a bad piece to be seen so get down there soon before the 'yoof' start tagging. You'll have to excuse my lack of notes and artist's names but I am proper f**ked so I'll do it tomorrow.

What a great event it turned out to be with over 80 writers from all over Europe doing their thing and doing it well.

Good live music and good people and very little beef made for a great event despite all the setbacks from the council, police and periodic downpours.

Meeting of Styles London 2010

"The "International Meeting of Styles" (MOS) is an international network of graffiti artists and aficionados that began in Wiesbaden, Germany in 2002. Brought together and inspired by their passion for graffiti, MOS aims to create a forum for the international art community to communicate, assemble and exchange ideas, works and skills, but also to support intercultural exchange. In the spirit of cooperation and promotion, since 2002 MOS has launched over 75 events in sixteen countries across Europe, Russia and America. These events have sponsored hundreds of graffiti artists from all over the world and throughout the years have attracted more than 100.000 spectators, providing a focal point for urban street culture and graffiti art to reach the larger community."

I came across the Nomadic Community Gardens round the back of Brick Lane a few weeks ago and the guy mentioned there was to be a festival. 2 weeks on and I remember to look it up 

Heres one of the walls (Dibbs already had this up in Street Art a few weeks back) 



Anyway, Ive found that there is indeed a 'Meeting of Styles' Event lined up for early July and they have a Kickstarter running. It looks like it will be a great event and worth having a look, maybe making a donation :-

The London leg of The International Meeting of Styles, a free Graffiti Festival & Paint jam is set to take place on the 11th - 12th July in Shoreditch & Whitechapel and we are asking for YOUR help to make it happen!

You will be supporting one of the UK's best and biggest street art festivals and the amazing artists that participate every year. This is a lasting legacy of painted walls and incredible artwork for the London community.

Street art lovers far and wide come to the festival and the walls after the event to marvel at the world collaborations that happen over this weekend and remains a talking point for months to come.

What to expect at Meeting of Styles UK 2015:

- A full weekender of FREE live painting in the Shoreditch & Brick Lane area by world class artists

A History of Meeting of Styles UK

Nomadic community Gardens is a great project. Last time it involved Artists like Cranio and Tizer and loads of other artists invited. Its nice to see a waste ground being used for community Projects.

Oh shit - I'd love to get Himbad to redecorate the house - that would look awesome and piss the missus right off at the same time

Although the kickstarter was a complete disaster as there was no promotion or publicity, this is still very much going ahead - and will be a cracking event this weekend

But bigger and more importantly; The Nomadic Community Gardens who are hosting the event have done an enormous amount of work on the space they have, it is all volunteer based and every donation, bit of publicity or any other support is incredibly important and goes a long way to help the entire community so please show all the support you can

I met both Junior & Jimmy (the guys in the opener of this video) and they are passionate about the Nomadic Community Gardens project and the space they have at the moment - I think i probably need to create a separate thread for them and see if they'll come and join us and keep us regularly informed of what they are doing and how anybody that is interested can help....

What with this, the Urban Art fair in Brixton and Sand, Sea and Spray in Blackpool i hope there'll be plenty of awesome art to be shared on here

I had a little mooch around Shoreditch today and it was good to see that the sun brought out all of the usual reprobates

It was a lovely afternoon and a the Nomadic Community Gardens were a great setting to sit-back in the sun, enjoying the barbecue and watch all of these great artists at work....and 1 or 2 working hard at getting pissed - not mentioning anybody

A lot of the pieces were still going up so these are just progress shots. I hope to be able to get back again  tomorrow but I'm sure there's a few others that can oblige with some good shots of the finished work
