Although I love street art I just think some areas are no go, there must be some respect IMO, I don't think you should go spray painting over grave stones, places of worship, ancient monuments etc next thing we know Stone Henge and Avebury Circle will have 'temporary' Mc Donalds or whatever advertising all over it. These temporary works could start to become frequent, meaning that although each one only lasts a day or two if something else re-appears quickly it might as well be permanent.

Yeah, I agree  If I was a tourist that had traveled half way round the world, and made a special trip to see the Cerne Giant  I would be a bit disappointed to see Homer Simpson

I guess that's the Westbury White Horse, not very old in fact, It would have been a crime if the Uffington White Horse was used though, it may be over 2500 years old.

i drive past this most days and always thought about taking a bucket of paint up the hill and painting the horse the giant cock it deserves.

Statues are fair game IMO as long as they're not of the ancient classic greek variety.
We wouldn't of had Turf War otherwise, and the guy who knocked the head of Margaret Thatcher's statue should of got a medal.
A local statue in Exeter of an old general Redvers Buller is always getting a traffic cone on it's head, anyone with the name Redvers particularly matched with Buller deserves it! ;D
