More of the place I painted the other post I had in here not so long ago. I have a lot of work ahead Will paint at least 5 more of these containers.
Behind the scenes fact - it had 38 grad celsius when I worked on it being right in the sun. It was shining so strong on the original white surface that I couldnt tell the difference from the light blue without stepping away haha

You haven't invited constructive criticism, so if what I say isn't welcome I apologise and will happily delete my post. I think you piece is a good start, but it will look better (have more detail and depth) if you work on adding a couple of layers - a couple of varying shades of grey. Above all else though, it's good to see people having a go.

A long time that I did not visit the place, still very good and inspiring things there!
For those who remember, I've also continued my work with tape and vinyl adhesive.
Now, I use acrylic glass as a support and then stick them directly in the street..
Here are my last stuffs, I'd be really happt to have your thoughts about this :
All the best! ZeM

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Fake on Aug 20, 2015 18:30:30 GMT 1, Please always use a respirator with the right filters and replace your filters on a regular basis when using spray paint!
I am writhing this post because I am concerned about artists that don't use respirators when they are painting outdoors. (I can give about 30 examples that I have seen during Upfest 2015)
I have recently been doing research on buying a new respirator for working with spray paint. My findings where a bit scary... Different brands have different components but all have very toxic vapors etc.. I have collected all MSDS (Material safety data sheet) of the brands I work with and that is mainly Belton Molotow premium. And asked a professional company selling and advising on handling hazardous materials to analyze the MSDS information and advise me on the right filters. The advise is: 1.Full face respirator with and independent air source. (in other words, use your fucking scuba outfit) This because there is no filter that will filter all the vapors etc.. They understand That I wont use an oxygen tank while I spray my graffiti ;-) So they gave me a second option.
2. the second best is an AX filter. but this filter cost about 15,- GBP and only works for 24hrs. that would be about 345,- GBP per month and 4140,- GBP a year. This amount is pretty steep but maybe worth it in the long term.
3. Use an ABEK2 filter. this is cheaper and has a longer working life. but is not a 100% filtering.
Most artists that have done a little research will say an A1P2 is sufficient... the reason is that the A1P2 filter is the standard for using aerosol paints. But the paints artists use have different components you will find in auto motive paints etc...
One more spicy detail, Montana Cans have no MSDS information for you to check. Not online and once you ask them for one they will not give it to you. Why? They have the highest concentration of harmful chemicals....
Some of the chemicals used are Benzeen and Acetone
My choice is the following: (and the best looking IMO;-)
Moldex 9000 full face respirator with ABEK2 gas filters combined with FFP3 dust filter
Here is some great information on different paints: granjow.net/sprayCans.html
I wonder what kind of respirators you are using and what advice you got when buying masks and filters.
I am not sure if I posted this in the right place but it would be nice if it gets pinned ;-)
