how much?!, by johnmac52 on Jul 3, 2007 13:46:21 GMT 1, I've always been of the understanding that Flags has been cheaper as it was cheaper to buy at the last ghetto for ยฃ100 and was of an edition of 1000, was flags available at the L.A show?
I hope I'm not asking stupid questions but due to there being a L.A and POW release of grannies etc then there were two releases of 500, and as such they're all editions of 1000?
And if this is the case then Flags is as rare/available as the rest of the L.A pieces just all released in the U.K, and is worth as much as the rest of the prints?

how much?!, by corblimeylimey on Jul 3, 2007 14:07:42 GMT 1, I'm afraid you're wrong johnmac52, LA prints Grannies & Applause have a 500 edition unsigned (100 of which were sold at LA) and 150 signed, Morons B&W was a little different the 500 unsigned consists of 100 being sold at LA (which had a gold frame) and 400 sold from POW which didn't have a gold frame, plus 150 signed that did'nt have a gold frame plus 300 sepia signed versions.
Flag was an edition of 1000 all unsigned only sold from the ghetto in Dec 2006 for ยฃ100 each, with all proceeds to charity.

I know mine has! ;D
It cant be a good thing that anyone just discovering banksy now needs to be fairly minted (or lucky) before they will be able to own one. :(all I can say is when I was in my 1st year @ uni & finding banksys stuff I wouldnt have been able to drop 900 quid on a Love Rat!

No-one could have predicted how ridiculous it's got though...and why prices seem to have jumped another 25% in the last month or so for no reason at all? Any thoughts?

Signed have gone to another level in the last couple of months, so many people are now thinking better get an unsigned while I still can, hence the jump.

Even when they were ยฃ40, I would much rather have spent my money on dope in the 1st year of uni than on a poster. I would have printed out the free one's from his website and stuck them up. ;D
