Director Joรฃo Wainer & Roberto T. Oliveira's "Pixo"

The film discusses the cultural impact of โpichaรงรฃoโ, a Brazilian form of graffiti, on the streets of Sรฃo Paulo and its international influence as one of the main cornerstones of Street Art. The film took part in the exhibition Nรฉ dans la Rue (Born in the Street), put together by the Fondation Cartier pour lโArt Contemporain in Paris. The documentary shows the lives of the โpichadoresโ (pitchers), accompanying some of their actions, their confrontations with police, and shows the other side of the coin concerning interventions that have already been hugely exploited by the media. The film offers no answers but does provide arguments for the on-going debate: is โpichaรงรฃoโ art, or is it crime?

was in detroit again yesterday for a few hours - solutions, solutions... city def needs help... is gentrification an answer?... heard our fine nyc mayor Bloomberg make some suggestions about shipping all the immigrants there, lollll... not sure that's the answer... but, it def needs help sorting out... as it's gone bad - and i have loads of love for detroit - motown and all that.... racking my brain on how to help...
