Price check LAUGH NOW, by mmmike on May 20, 2011 12:24:57 GMT 1, Great print. If you love it and can afford it just buy it. One of my favorites. If you just plan to buy it as an investment, I wouldn't. Banksy is a bit on top of the world these days.

Price check LAUGH NOW, by BrotherBern on Apr 6, 2013 13:17:11 GMT 1, Folks. I have just spent a morning with an artist who also owns a gallery and he is selling a Laugh Now, which is a gift print, therefore has no number or COA. The history is pukka. My questions are....
Will I be able to get a COA?
What should I be paying?
PS, I don't want to sell it, just enjoy it

If he is not the original recipient, I'd say there's a slim chance of it being authenticated. Price depends on whether it gets authenticated or not. If it does, the owner should expect the going rate for a print from the signed and numbered edition. If not, however much a buyer is prepared to pay.

Price check LAUGH NOW, by dotdot on Apr 6, 2013 18:16:40 GMT 1, Cheers soho, is ยฃ1k a deal for it? Dude, you need a coa.
no number means something close to curtains.
A gift is a gift to the recipient , that's all. If that recipient contacted pc for a coa then perhaps they'd get one but I doubt it as its not part of any print run - its a gift.
Anyone here seen a coa for a gifty print ? If they're normal then I don't mind standing corrected.
pa care to comment ?

Price check LAUGH NOW, by BrotherBern on Apr 6, 2013 18:19:21 GMT 1, Craig, long time no speak. It came from a cafe on Stokes Croft, Bristol, (opposite 'Mild Mild West) where Robin used to go.
No number, no pow stamp, just a reliable source.
What should I be paying, for what is a posh poster without a COA?
Help!

Price check LAUGH NOW, by Goooogle Male on Apr 6, 2013 18:21:43 GMT 1, bottom line for an un-numbered Banksy gift print with no COA is that it effectively has no re-sale value at all. You might believe the story you are being told about the gift print if you trust and know the seller very well, but who's going to believe your version of it 2-3 (or whatever) years down the line? Ultimately with banksy, the only 'real' ones are those with (or eligible for) a COA.
Get a 'real' edition one with COA. That way you have 100% peace of mind. Otherwise save yourself ยฃ950 and get a WestCountryPrince version as that's realistically no different to a so called 'real gift print'
