Exactly what I thought. Reminded me of some beautiful, limited edition packaging to some perfume or clothing. Especially with the bold, contesting yellow on Matt black.

It's supposed to be a criticism of materialism and capitalism and therefore attaching a price tag to it ultimately makes the image fall flat on it's face.
This release will make ยฃ27,500 if every print is sold and then what, pink? green? gold leaf edition? Either way the mere fact it's been put on sale to be consumed completely makes a mockery of the artists' message.
That fact leads me to believe that if a purchaser for Chanel saw it, and approached the artist to create some merchandise then for the right price they wouldn't say no.

It was a brave move only having a half a dozen works in the main gallery but Zevs pulled it off. Never been to a gallery show with a sunbed, and I can report that @11 is looking even more impressively bronzed ;-).
I thought it was perhaps the start of a move away from the liquidated theme, but maybe it'll just be incorporated in a different way in future.
Regardless it's well worth taking a look at the show.
