RAFFLE RESULTS OUT - "Erotica" SUELAN/EINE, by Shoot Again on Jun 20, 2011 16:50:43 GMT 1, Last April, I bought that "Photos Montage on canvas" on eBay during an Auction (to the benefit of the japenese Red Cross) arranged by the London based artist-photographer SUELAN (http://suelan.viewbook.com/)
It's basically a montage on canvas (160cm * 38cm) of 7 (erotic)pictures taken by Suelan in front of B.Eine's letters (Location: Middlesex Street, London) to form the word "E.R.O.T.I.C.A." The canvas is SIGNED (and dated 2011) on the back by B.EINE himself, nice gesture/recognition from the original artist ;-)
These pictures had been shot for the Exhibition "Erotica vs. Street-art โ Which is sexier ?" which had taken place @ Old Truman Brewery Galleries in Oct. 2010... see more details here :

Bottom line, as my wife doesn't let me hang it onto the wall, I'm looking (reluctantly) to either sell it or swap it against another piece of artworks (OG or print) from any of the numerous artist I like. PM ME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED FOR A DEAL. Due to the size of the canvas (160cm * 38cm) I would ideally prefer a trade with somebody based in London like me...

I've been trying for a couple of weeks to sell on this Forum that photo-montage on canvas (see all details above in the Thread) but failed to attract much interest around the price I paid for it (during a Charity Auction), ie. ยฃ100 ;-( As mentionned earlier, the reason for selling was never to try to make a profit but just to find a better home for that piece (as it didn't get the "wife-approval" stamp) so that it doesn't get wasted in a storage room...
As a relatively new member of this Forum I can only say how helpful many of you have been to me and there is definitely some generosity shown on a regular basis (I even won a DRAN poster through a lottery in here !) So I think it's only fair that I give something away myself now ;-)
There are TWO CONDITIONS to participate to the raffle though... please do NOT put your name down if you can't tick both boxes !
1. You need to BE ABLE TO PICK-UP THE CANVAS FORM MY OFFICE (LONDON W1S 2GB) as I don't have a car myself and postage could end-up being quite expensive due to the size of the canvas (160cm * 38 cm).
2. I obviously won't know for sure what will happen to the canvas in the furure, but I would definitely rather offer the artwork to SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS HE WILL HANG IT ON HIS WALL rather than to somebody looking to sell it later on eBay to make some money (could have tried that myself...), so please have a second look at the pictures before you decide (or not) to participate to the free raffle ;-)
In such case, put down your interest before Sunday JULY 3rd midnight, you'll been allocated the number shown in your post and I'll arrange the raffle on Monday JULY 4th disclosing the name of the winner here...

Have a place on the wall ready!!! Private bathroom and the missus is ok about putting slightly risque stuff up, so lomg as it is out of sight of the kids. Likely to be a taking point when guests stay over!!!!
