Great image IMO.

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by My Name is Frank on May 20, 2011 22:38:57 GMT 1, It's a difficult life being invader. The form by definition is really limited, the invaders look great on walls invading cities (in that respect I kind of rate him as one of the greatest street artists), prints , originals and tile kits sell well, but how do you evolve the very strictly set oeuvre that invader has made for himself?
You end up with this sort of work, a tiled version of a pre existing image which has no placement, context nor deep meaning. If invader wants to branch out (not sure why he would though) using old album covers and lichtensteins is not the way. The man is a legend, this type of his work always falls really flat, for me at least anyway.
That said, experimentation is important, just wonder how boxed in invader may feel now by the very boxes that made him?

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by rperry on May 20, 2011 23:28:39 GMT 1, I have to agree with Goose, I'm not loving it. I have the "Here's Johnny" and to be honest it looked better online. I was a little surprised when it arrived, to be fair though, it hasn't been framed and hung which might make a difference.

Theres to much of that expresso beans talk starting to creep in over here.
Please keep it over your side of the fence. Its a no no on here to discuss how much to sell things for before you have purchased. It will piss a load of people off.
Just read the 40 odd pages on the mbw release over there, 36 of those were people excited about getting one and selling it on ebay plus openly talking about selling tactics.
Heres the line
-------------------
Please dont cross it.
As an example of the stupidity. Here is one epic, epic and even more epic stupid quote from someone over there who has no idea about anything.

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by kalm on May 21, 2011 3:15:31 GMT 1, "what do you mean by ground-breaking? banksy was never ground-breaking with stencil design and yet people gravitates to his images like he's the first person to do it. for the record, cavemen were the first graffiti artist. furthermore, thought provocative images or images that makes you laugh was done years ago before banksy ever came to the scene. personally i think banksy is just the MBW of the UK. sure he has more artistic merit but if you asked someone that's not in the art scene i bet they wouldn't be able to tell you the difference."
Not sure who this is quoting but I kinda agree with him on the innovator theme... except for the fact of calling Banksy "not ground breaking"...sure Blek and about 100 million kindergarteners were stenciling before him but that's not what makes him appealing or even an artist...it's Banksy's mind & sense of humor combined with his ability to express it through minmalistic approaches that appeals to the masses...he says what we've all been thinking, or at least the conscious people. And his mechanics have certainly improved over the years...he's a proficient Artist, journeyman technique-wise, but a GENIUS in the planning and execution of it. Unparalleled, really. -my 2 sense

Problem is its not flipping, thats been around for ages everywhere, its that new generation of bare faced cheek to discuss ebay prices and what they will trade for BEFORE the thing even comes out.
Its just a very poisonous atmosphere.

Invader Ohh Alright Print, by kalm on May 21, 2011 3:51:30 GMT 1, I getcha...And agree 100%...the pompousness of such an act should be embarrassing
My intention was to trade my MOMO Zine & special Tyler Stout sticker,(herja prize) for ANY Invader Map...and I was under the assumption that there were unfolded ones somewhere along the line though those may be entirely way up the ladder in value. If so, my bad.
