Dran โข Art Thief, by gibbin82 on Jun 28, 2011 23:59:53 GMT 1, I spoke to someone at POW before I went to Glasto and was told that Street Art News was not the most reliable of sources of information for POW releases and the POW database had been hacked and the image of the man taking the picture frame shown was from there, it was also said that there was no imminent Dran release from POW and when there was it would definitely not be the image that had been shown on Street Art News, but likely to be a version of the little girl shown on the Christmas catalogue.

I know how you feel I was the same with the I Love You print, just had to get one, fortunately although I wanted one this time I have such a lot of other nice Drans I can live with missing this one.
Best of luck in your search, hope you dont get skinned for it (don't pay top dollar for the first one that hit eBay)

I have started suspecting a long time ago that all these online sales are wicked from the very start and already pre-sold to good customers or gallery's friends... Seeing prints go on ebay that fast for a good flip profit make me even more suspicious...
PS : I don't give a f** about the Dran prints I don't like his work. But asking questions about online releases which are sold out in 5 secs.

Some are for sure put aside for their best clients, reducing the number of prints actually really available online, but what is surprising is that normally these best clients are supposed to be true art lovers and therefore wouldn't be expected to flip it on eBay the same day... I'm puzzled...

This is all a question of supply and demand. Flipping can easily be avoided through the increase of edition sizes.
Edit :(of course it's frustrating, I know I will probably miss myself the next invader print at POW because it's a far too small series and I will keep hitting F5 like all stoopids we are).

yeah, you kind of have a point. I wanted the last one and missed it. This one was my conciliation prize that im happy with. The uniqueness definitely plays a big part for me on this one. I cant afford an original so this is the next best thing.
